iceman Posted July 18, 2019 at 11:09 PM Share Posted July 18, 2019 at 11:09 PM Lady rear ended me, so we went to local pd to file a report. LEO said hey I'm showing you have a CCL, I replied with yes, he asked if I had it on me which I did not. The reason this is interesting is I was one of those poor idiots who forgot his licensed expired and got my 3 hour course nearly 2 months after the expiration date. I went ahead and took the class, uploaded my 3 hour cert and paid my $150 as if I were just renewing and I'm still showing up as pending. Here's to hoping that they accept it and renew me lol. Just figured I'd share this here for any other people who are in the same boat.

Bubbacs Posted July 19, 2019 at 02:02 AM Share Posted July 19, 2019 at 02:02 AM After all the posts about the letting the CCL expire past maybe 3 to 4 days, even MollyB stated this, you post in here and say you were 2 months late.Good job dodging a bullet with the leo’sWould have been sweet if the CCL was fully expired and then we could have found out what happens to those who don’t have a valid CCL! But I liked ScopeEye’s post better, straight and to the point........lol

mrmagloo Posted July 19, 2019 at 06:26 PM Share Posted July 19, 2019 at 06:26 PM On a slightly different angle, I had an idiot delivery driver run up my long winding driveway, and when trying to leave, bashed into one of my decorative block retaining walls and leave. So, I called the local PD, and the Sgt came over to do a report. We are sitting in the kitchen, and he's taking down my info, and the dispatcher breaks in and warns that I am a CCL and might be armed. We both broke out a little laugh. He said just SOP, with a quick thumbs up. Can't fathom what would have happened had I lived in Chicago.
iceman Posted August 8, 2019 at 09:20 PM Author Share Posted August 8, 2019 at 09:20 PM "rejected on day 89/90" Your Concealed Carry application is incomplete. Please satisfy the following and resubmit your application: Training Information | Fix Documentor Training Exemption Specification Insufficient Number of Training Hours now to figure out if my TAN card class is enough to skip the first 8 hours. This state is so silly, I'm qualified for a TAN for all weapon types, did 16 hour class originally, did 3 hour renewal class but since I missed the date gotta do it all over again -.-

iceman Posted August 8, 2019 at 09:33 PM Author Share Posted August 8, 2019 at 09:33 PM -.- just great, a hunting class gets you 4 hours and fcc / tan gets zilch. Thanks for the info though!
captdan Posted August 8, 2019 at 09:57 PM Share Posted August 8, 2019 at 09:57 PM I am of the opinion the credit given for the first 8 hours on the initial application shroud still be valid for 8 hours of the sixteen required if expired. None of the allowed credits have a expiration date. Example, if the NRA Basis pistol or DD214 was accepted for the the first 16 hour class why would it not be accepted for the second 16 class for those who failed to renew. Essentially this wold allow those that forgot to renew to take a 8 renewal class with the instructor verifying the prior training and submitting a license application. I agree with approved prior training or Mil. At the very least, an expired card should be good for 8hrs as well, since none of the other first 8 goes away, why should training, that in many cases, was more recent than any other prior courses. Also, there should be something like what Utah does... One year and you take it over. heck, I'd settle for 6 months as being reasonable. To think one day will cost you another 8-16hrs is a bit overbearing, unless your goal is to get people not to renew.
