We're down to the wire!

Phone Calls Are Needed!

With only 14 days left on the Spring Schedule, they're pulling out all the stops.

You've heard about “assault weapons” and Governor Rauner's veto. You've heard about attempts to dismantle preemption, You've heard about bump stock bans.

You've heard about all of this, and more. But have you fought? Have you filed the witness slips and made the phone calls needed to protect our rights. Our rights. Your rights, and my rights. Our children's rights. The rights we must leave as our legacy to future generations.

Join us today, join us now, by making a few simple phone calls.

Call your State Representatives. Tell them to vote against any override of the Governor's veto of HB1468 “Assault Weapon” 72 Hours. Call your State Senators. Tell them this too.

Tell your Representatives to vote against SB2343 Bump Stock Trigger Crank Ban.

Tell your Senators to vote against SB2314 Assault Weapons – Municipality, a bill meant to strip preemption of local ordinance from state law.

Tell them all of this, and tell them now!

Calls should be made beginning the morning of 5/16/2018, to your legislators' Springfield offices.

Contact information for your legislators can be found here.

On 5/25/2017, Superintendent Eddie Johnson predicted a 50% reduction is Chicago violence within 3 years of SB1722 becoming law.  The bill was signed into law on 6/23/2017. The clock is now ticking.

Have to love the response from Sen. Haines office " Well he generally disagrees with these bills but I can not speak for him personally"
