  1. in every class I do, it seems that at least one person lets me know that they forgot to change their address on their FOID card and it has been a while since they moved. When a person goes online to change their address, if it has been more than 21 days does the State Police ever pinch the person for non-compliance with that part of the statute?
  2. Okay, I have a couple who just go their CCL's a few weeks ago. Then, about 10 days later, they each got the new FOID card with the 'unified number' on them. They look nice. Where's mine??? Ha!
  3. Thanks for the response! Yes, this was my original question, and a subpart to it was the necessity of carrying both the FOID and CCL. I do just because I know some places don't accept the CCL for purchases. Thanks all for the answers! If they don't accept the CCL for purchases, it is out of ignorance. The law was changed to allow for the CCL to be used whenever the FOID is used so you do not have to carry both. This is from 430 ILCS 65/2 (c-5) The provisions of paragraphs (1) and (2) of subsection ( a) of this Section regarding the possession of firearms and firearm ammunition do not apply to the holder of a valid concealed carry license issued under the Firearm Concealed Carry Act who is in physical possession of the concealed carry license.
  4. I thought that new CCL holders were getting new FOIDs with the same number as well, but that is not the case (at least not always the case). I have two students who just received their CCL's and did not get new FOID cards...... I checked the numbers of both the FOID and the CCL of someone who received them just a couple months back and the FOID number is totally different from the CCL number..
  5. You take a time machine back to 1980 and get one. Oh... You mean a Facsimile machine.... I remember those!
  6. I have had an INCREDIBLY GREAT experience with Todd Roseberry in Bloomington. Honest, straight-shooter and saved me a LOT of legal fees by expeditiously handling my case. I couldn't recommend him enough. And, by the way, he is an Illinois License to Carry Instructor as well.
