Colt guy Posted August 17, 2018 at 02:44 AM Share Posted August 17, 2018 at 02:44 AM Is it legal to,own an M20B1 bazooka that of course does not fire ? Or does it need a tax stamp ?
DomG Posted August 17, 2018 at 04:06 AM Share Posted August 17, 2018 at 04:06 AM If it's PERMANENTLY disabled, it's no longer a bazooka, but a metal tube.
kk5 Posted August 17, 2018 at 05:03 AM Share Posted August 17, 2018 at 05:03 AM I have a training round that will fit that but it has already been fired with an inert warhead. My sweet wife picked it up at a garage sale for $5 with the packing tube
Colt guy Posted August 17, 2018 at 05:19 AM Author Share Posted August 17, 2018 at 05:19 AM Its a nice old piece. There is a bi-pod on front and the strap has what looks to be a company name with a date printed on it which looks like 1944 or 1954. Optics are still on it,too. Looks like it may have been converted to do some kind of re-enactment or something. There is a 9volt battery and a microswitch under the grip panels with 2 wires and alligator clips, leading to the breech end of the tube. I am not sure how these were actually fired so also not sure if it is permanently disabled. I did a search and looks like a couple of these sold in the 1100 dollar range a few years ago. So yea re-enactment or just a fun toy to play with.
