Did the village of Deerfield suffer any penalties for passing this unConstitutional law? Its great that it was blocked by a court, but without penalties it will still give encouragement to other municipalities to try to copy this "virtue signaling" to please its anti gun voters. But regardless, I see this as a victory, albeit a small one, in an endless war for the preservation of the 2nd Amendment.

^^^Probably just the folks who are forced to pay taxes in the city.  Attorney fees, etc.

the case hasnt been decided yet so there are no penalties or lawyer fees yet. This was just a restraining order to keep them from enforcing this law for now. The final ruling could be counter to this TRO. Getting the TRO is a good sign but it could also be a SOP when dealing with possible illegal laws.

The only penalty are the fees paid by the taxpayers for the litigation.

Is the injunction temporary or permanent?   The article doesn't say.

I have heard it is temporary and the plaintiffs seek to make it permanent.
