Craigcelia Posted June 4, 2020 at 07:05 PM Share Posted June 4, 2020 at 07:05 PM From the Alert: At this time, the Illinois State Police (ISP) is not accepting ICCL renewal certificates. Please do not try to submit them. When the Governor’s Executive Order is lifted and the 12 month clock starts, you will be able to upload your renewal certificate. We will keep you posted. lilguy Posted June 8, 2020 at 03:48 AM Share Posted June 8, 2020 at 03:48 AM If this was public aid checks folks would be burning down the house. We’re too civil a group to put up a fuss.
GLOCK22 Posted June 8, 2020 at 12:44 PM Share Posted June 8, 2020 at 12:44 PM I'm 121 days and still under review. Submitted before the COVID-19 expiration was put in place. I wonder if they're gonna use the 12 month thing as giving themselves even more time to process and issue cards. It's going to be interesting to see what the expiration date on the new card is whenever I do get it, and whether or not i get screwed out of any time on it. Legislation says renewal card expirations are to be 5 years from existing expire date. I havent seen anything that says that has changed. How do you get screwed out of time if you get 5 years and your existing card stays active in spite of showing an expire date?

I guess I didn't give that one enough thought, but it's going to be interesting going out of state for vacation with an expired CCL. What stinks is that I risk going to jail, all because this state somehow, with all the money it collects for the program, make it function in a timely fashion. InterestedBystander Posted June 8, 2020 at 04:27 PM Share Posted June 8, 2020 at 04:27 PM Nlets, https://www.nlets.org/about/who-we-are, reports the status of your existing CCL to member states and organizations so they should know or be able to easily verify it is still active. I'd still print out existing law (i.e. valid if submitted before expired) and the ISP CCL Covid rules and have those with me.
Bubbacs Posted June 8, 2020 at 04:43 PM Share Posted June 8, 2020 at 04:43 PM Somewhere in here I believe two guys have posted about going out of state and not having any issues.Like IB states above, they will get a screen shot back which says exactly what it would in Illinois.I’d keep a print out, but the %’s are high it won’t be needed. Good Luck
