I will be halting attacks on him. The progressives hate him. Theyre doing a better job at what conservatives can do to ruin his run and expose him. This example even brings up sensible gun laws, but is against him. There are people better than me that can use stuff like this to attack Moms Demand Action btw, as they are his grassroots army. Fingers crossed he wins the nomination.

This reminds me of Crowder 2017 SJW vs 2012 SJW.

MDA is his astroturf army, not grassroots at all.

I can’t wait to see some basic B wannabe #Resist suburban moms getting shouted down and not served for wearing Bloomberg campaign stuff.

The Dem split is awesome because the Clinton left (neoliberal/third way) has tried to coopt the progressive left to shame conservatives into being “on the wrong side of history”. Now it’s blowing up in their face, even their beloved Obama is denouncing progressivism.

So you have a stop and frisking womanizing Bloomberg, a Strom Thurmond loving hazy memory touchy hands Biden, a white woman who falsely used affirmative action to further her career, a possibly CIA but definitely war profiteer Buttigieg who’s Dem run city has the same problems with shooting black people as every other Dem run heckhole, a pseudo progressive Cali top cop Harris in a party that claims to abhor police overreach with a long history of police overreach, and an actual progressive Sanders who’s been written out of the picture because he likely costed Hillary the election last time around. Along with a bunch of other single trick nobodies.

It’s a **k. By Bloomberg entering and using MDA resources for his own run it will cause issues with the organization. MDA members have already come out against his run, so it will be interesting to see if the MDA leads will oust those that go against Bloomberg. They banish anyone that doesn’t fall in line with their agenda 100% (ask how I know ;) )

Just saw several of Bloomberg's TV commercials. He has quite the high opinion of himself, in other words, delusional.

A campaign focused on gun control and climate change will go no where in a general election. Bring it on! 5cac5bbe6854b6b061702b64a8f72119.jpg
Stung by the result of McDonald v. City of Chicago, 130 S. Ct. 3020 (2010), the City quickly enacted an ordinance that was too clever by half. Recognizing that a complete gun ban would no longer survive Supreme Court review, the City required all gun owners to obtain training that included one hour of live‐range instruction, and then banned all live ranges within City limits. This was not so much a nod to the importance of live‐range training as it was a thumbing of the municipal nose at the Supreme Court.

You don't think he will win with the endless supply of money he has and with the support of the mainstream media and especially with the change in demographics and the pandering and selling out the country and the Constitution that is going on?

Democrats will vote for anyone but Trump and he didn't have the numbers in the last election so how he will win this one when whites are closer to becoming a minority?

In recent polls black approval of Trump is between 30%-35%. Remember they benefit most from the Trump economy and suffer the worst from the Democrats open border policy.

My prediction, Elizabeth Warren demands that Bloomberg and Trump release their tax returns at the same time. They do, and it turns out Trump is really poor. This resonates with the majority of voters who go on to reject Bloomberg the oligarch.

I have a related post on this here. I originally posted it in Illinois and it got moved but didn't know this thread was active here. He has a big MeToo thing going on now. IMO this is a good time to leverage that momentum against the moms. The demographics work out very well. Set the pebbles in motion and let them turn into boulders specifically focused on the gun control groups. Tie bloomberg/MeToo clearly and publicly to MDA specifically. Make it dirty and nasty to any right thinking progressive woman.

Here's the content. the other post can be deleted please.

Putting this out there. There is now a perfect opportunity to educate the "moms" about the guy manipulating them to serve his needs. Bloomberg and his org are going though a huge MeToo attack relative to his presidential campaign. Nothing yet on the scale of a Weinsten or Lauer but some pretty crude stuff and some strong NDAs holding back all the details and now being publicly fought over.

So lets review.

  • Moms are progressive type women, or at least identify as such.
  • Bloomberg who funds the moms is about what you might expect from a MeToo perspective with his arrogance apparently overcoming common sense. For example, he apparently suggested that a subordinate can keep her boyfriend by making him happy orally... Gee thanks boss, I'll have to give that a try!
  • The identitarian progressive base is out for his blood because evil white man, billionaire, and for the antisemite wing of leftism, Jewish.
  • The media won't bury this because he's not a favorite... in fact, the opposite.
  • A lot of "moms" and certainly useful suburban soccer mom supporters might not know who is paying the  bills.
  • Social media can blow this up.

Anyone with connections (Molly, Todd) to the major orgs that should be running point on this -- please pass the idea along. I can't imagine this hasn't already occurred to anyone with even a moderate PR function at these orgs (NRA in particular) but frankly I don't have much faith in those groups anymore. I didn't post this in private etc because it is so obvious and also because guys like Steve might have to start the ball rolling. This is one where there is potentially a lot of social media velocity to be gained once a ball starts rolling. If our side is smart and effective, and using nothing but the truth, we can ride along. Heck, the messaging practically writes itself. So many angles to play off of. To Bloomberg women are just tools for him to use to meet his needs. etc.

Come on.  At least speculate on things that even remotely possible. Sure he might not be the richest billionaire in the world or country for that matter.  Might not even be a billionaire once you breakdown the balance sheet, but Poor???  Like he's worth less than you?  Wake up.

Wakjng up is difficult for this crowd. The over the top disparagement of Bloomberg is a great example of cognitive dissonance and solid evidence that gun nuts are a bit nuts. It’s totally rational to dislike Bloomy for a host of reasons. Positioning that dislike as something factual about his abilities is a hoot. The guy is a seriously smart and successful business person and leader. By any measure he should be taken seriously. If he gets the dem nomination, I think he would be a formidable opponent for the Donald. None of the Rhodes Scholars, billionaires, and rocket scientists here will vote for him. Or any other democrat candidate. Start thinking about who would vote for him. Hint- it’s a bigger demographic than gun nuts in Illinois. Hillary’s campaign missed the “who would vote for him?” with the Donald. We should not make same mistake. The democrats will eventually sort out their circular firing squad and field a solid candidate. If it’s bloomy, it’s gonna be a real race. If the economy and markets are solid, I think we win with solid margin. If the economy or markets are in the tank next summer, all bets are off. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The problem for any Democrat candidate is that the party is totally fractured. I don't think they will sort things out any time soon. Maybe after a total, humiliating defeat. As it currently stands there is no leadership or control in the party. The fact impeachment is even happening show how little control Pelosi has.

  • You have the hard left Marxist/Identitarian base. They want an AOC candidate. Warren and Bernie are trying to fill that niche (though IMO both are at heart establishment).
  • You have the "swamp" establishment candidates. They want globalization and euro style light socialism. Biden would be out front there. Bloomberg would fit here.
  • What they need but DON't have is a true blue dog candidate. Biden might have been able to fake his way into that but he decided to veer left instead of right.

So, Bloomberg could be formidable but he will not appeal to either the Marxist/identitrian  or the potential blue dogs who are continuing to realize like the conservative republicans did in 2016 that the formal party no longer represented their needs. The Republican party is being reformed but we'll have to see just how much by the end of Trumps' second term. The D's have a much tougher challenge. It's hard to see any D candidate being able to unify this mess into the necessary support.

If the markets collapse that would be a challenge, but, IMO, a lot of folks by this point would be willing to blame the Dems (rightly or wrongly in whatever might happen) for intentionally trying to damage Trump. There are plenty of folks on the left who have already hinted or suggested such a thing would be great.

Still, no room to be complacent. Any D candidate or shift further left in Congress or SCOTUS would be terrible for gun owners.

I work in the STL metro east.  Most of my co-workers and clients are blacks.  Many of them plan to vote for Trump.  They like his no-nonsense way of dealing with things, especially other countries.

There is also a centrist echo chamber thats been programmed ignore the fringe when theyre often right.

Heres polling data from almost every single poll compiled in one place. I realize all polls are subject to self selection bias, but theres enough polls here to at least overcome some of that. Bloomberg should not be taken seriously as long as the American electoral system stays intact.
https://projects.fiv...ratic/national/

Anecdotally most of my friends are far left, my gun friends are far right, and most of my coworkers and neighbors are solid centrists All have the same feelings about Bloomberg.

Even the NeoKeynsian economic left poster boy Paul Kruggman is scorching Bloomberg for his run. By all accounts that should be Bloombergs #1 blue checkmark Lib fanboy. https://www.nytimes....llionaires.html

The only thing not being polled is the bootlicking Reagan worshipping neoconservative never Trumpers pulling Dem tickets in the primaries just so they can vote Bloomberg into the big show. Keep in mind Bloomberg has been elected as a Republican before, so that might be a credible threat.
