  1. Was that card date 10 years from the revoked card? Given the Covid rules you should be able to submit renewal and still be valid. Especially with new renewals happening much faster, it might not be long until physical card in hand.
  2. Afaik, that is correct. If lucky the board will review, override, and your app will move on. Or you may get many 30 day after 30 day after 30 day extension letters or as mentioned a denial and appeals. Are you in Cook County by chance?
  3. Not heard of that. An invoice for what and how much? Are you saying you get charged for an appeal?
  4. A USCCA cert? One should always read or at least scan whatever they are signing. As for the instructor...a big fail if producing certs for an entire completed class to sign.
  5. Did you reapply from scratch? I thought I had read for bad certs they gave you a chance just to upload a corrected cert via a fix link. Previous posts have indicated it usually does not pick up at existing day count but may start over. I could be wrong since Ive never dealt with that. Sadly at the quality control data verification step, you may not be that far along in the process anyway.
  6. Strangely, JBP has a work number listed in the SoI online telephone directory, but nothing is listed for Brendan Kelly.
  7. Director Brendan F. Kellyhttps://isp.illinois.gov/DirectorI was being sarcastic, the point is "how does anyone actually communicate with him besides letters and faxes that are not acknowledged? Now, you have me thinking, I will ask Governor Pritsker whom is relatively accessible, to contact him. My expectation is that most likely Kelly is not actually signing and receiving those, but rather office personnel and/or a chief of staff.
  8. Be aware, two different things... ..."Expungement and sealing are two different options that remove records from public view. Expungement erases the record so that it's like it never happened. Sealing means that it is just hidden from most of the public's view, but certain agencies and employers can still see it"...
  9. All licenses were extended to Nov 1, 2020. They recently announced if over the age of 75, they are getting an additional year extension. Press release https://www.cyberdriveillinois.com/news/2020/august/200825d1.pdf
  10. As the clown said... FOID is $5; CCL is $75 (and I assume the extra ever so helpful convenience fee %) .... 430 ILCS 65/13.2) (from Ch. 38, par. 83-13.2) Sec. 13.2. It is the obligation of the holder of a Firearm Owner's Identification Card to notify the Department of State Police of any address change since the issuance of the Firearm Owner's Identification Card. Whenever any person moves from the residence address named on his or her card, the person shall within 21 calendar days thereafter notify in a form and manner prescribed by the Department of his or her old and new residence addresses and the card number held by him or her. Any person whose legal name has changed from the name on the card that he or she has been previously issued must apply for a corrected card within 30 calendar days after the change. The cost for a corrected card shall be $5. Change of address or name; lost, destroyed, or stolen licenses. (a) A licensee shall notify the Department within 30 days of moving or changing residence or any change of name. The licensee shall submit the requisite fee and the Department may require a notarized statement that the licensee has changed his or her residence or his or her name, including the prior and current address or name and the date the applicant moved or changed his or her name. .... (d) A licensee requesting a new license in accordance with Section 55 shall submit $75, of which $60 shall be apportioned to the State Police Firearm Services Fund, $5 shall be apportioned to the Mental Health Reporting Fund, and $10 shall be apportioned to the State Crime Laboratory Fund.
  11. Well, your card is still valid now and they should take, but tough to say. I get them wanting to be careful and not risk license. It's a matter of the FFL policies. When the Covid rules first started, many would still not accept a card past its printed expired date but I havent read that lately. Dealers are required to check FOID card and they can see its active and Covid rules should be familiar now but a dealer may decline to sell ammunition and/or a firearm if they so choose. Policies on this will vary from store to store
