Bitter Clinger Posted July 11, 2020 at 07:15 PM Share Posted July 11, 2020 at 07:15 PM If you recently lost your FOID card and your initials are WB and your date of birth is 3/24/73, please PM me. If I don't hear from anyone, I'm going to drop this thing in the mail on Monday and send it back to the address on the card. Hopefully the card's owner hasn't reported it stolen yet. spec5 Posted July 11, 2020 at 11:25 PM Share Posted July 11, 2020 at 11:25 PM Send it to the address on the card. If the holder moved the USPS will forward it. Good find. I bet you the card holder will really appreciate getting it back. Also you could try to google it. Sometimes phone numbers show up.
InterestedBystander Posted July 12, 2020 at 12:02 AM Share Posted July 12, 2020 at 12:02 AM You could run it through the private transfer site. If denied, then I would guess its probably inactive. Reported lost as I inderstand it makes the card go inactive while awaiting a replacement. Very nice on your part to spend this time on it.
Bitter Clinger Posted July 13, 2020 at 02:42 PM Author Share Posted July 13, 2020 at 02:42 PM Good idea. I'm going to check this now. If it's still good, I'm dropping in the mail today to return it to the owner.
Bitter Clinger Posted July 13, 2020 at 03:04 PM Author Share Posted July 13, 2020 at 03:04 PM Ok, I just ran the card and it came back denied. I'm guessing it was already reported lost. Oh well. I guess that saved me a stamp.

mikescooling Posted July 21, 2020 at 02:28 AM Share Posted July 21, 2020 at 02:28 AM IMHO I'd just like to know the card is out of circulation, maybe find him/her on FB and PM them, let them know it's chopped up and not in the wrong hands. Bubbacs Posted July 21, 2020 at 06:30 PM Share Posted July 21, 2020 at 06:30 PM Or, like someone who is asked to send in their FOID cards when they move out of state or other reasons.I’d drop it in the snail mail to the FSB of the ISP and let them deal with it!If it’s good somehow, they can handle it, if not then they can shred and tell the owner.
