Saw this today on Google.  It's a mushy feel good piece about MDA and Watts, but what it really does is give us a kick in the butt for why we need to get to the polls.

Last year's event garnered 1000 people from 47 states. We have 6000 people show up in the Illinois capitol to protect our 2nd amendment rights, and no one covers it.

Perhaps that's something you should nicely ask the author at Politico about?

Perhaps, but I don't feel the need to ask anything of Polotico, nicely or otherwise.

Mushy as in gushing emotional support for her. A pathos appeal. Guess my lingo is showing my age!

Absolutely a slant piece.

She "thinks she's on the right side of history". She thinks too much of herself. She probably won't be on any side of history but on the chance she is, the beginning of the downfall will probably be traced to that "Indiana kitchen".

Most liberals do.  That's why it is good to remember this quote attributed to the author C. S. Lewis ("Chronicles of Narnia"):

“Of all the tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end, for they do so with the approval of their consciences.”

These people are self-righteous and sanctimonious hypocrites and will never stop.

“We, the people are the rightful masters of both Congress and the courts, not to overthrow the Constitution, but to overthrow men who pervert the Constitution.” - - Abraham Lincoln

“Small minds adhere to the letter of the law; great minds dispense Justice.” - - S. C. Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes

One of my instructors while in the military said this:

" I kinda feel sorry for the draft dodgers that went to Canada... they have nothing larger to believe in than themselves..."

Sure fits the liberal fanatics the NFL players who "take a knee"..
