(136 days without prints)

I applied January 13, 2019 without prints. I was issued the license May 29, 2019. Now I will wait for the actual license to be mailed to my house.

You'll likely receive it within a week from going "active"

Thank you all. I just wanted to update wait time for 2019. Those other threads were 2014 and 2015.

Not that i'm anxious or anything... but applied on 3/31 with prints and no change to my status.  Do they consider the estimated wait time as business days or all?

Submitted renewal 02/02/2019 (no prints). Expired 04/21/2019. 122 days and waiting, just checked, still under review. Check element shows - Submitted -QC Verified - Approved for past 60 days. What happened to the 120 days they are allowed without prints?

Your answer is here:

Actually we all went through it, the waiting is the hardest part.

Now to be serious, the ISP is understaffed. There are 1800 troopers for the entire state.

https://www.chicagot...0407-story.html

Moon also pointed to a number of legislative initiatives — such as inspecting growing facilities for the state’s medical marijuana program and administering licenses for concealed carry owners — that have placed additional burdens on the agency, asking it to “do more with less.”

I think they are close to the time frames but not exactly hitting the mark. Rest assured the day will come soon and you will get your license. The OP is a good example of that. You are all too far in to be denied, somebody has to get your application off their desk and to the printer. I believe most get approved on Thursdays or Fridays.

Applied 2/5/2019 (Accepted Payment Date)

Expired 4/14/2019

Status "Under Review"

No fingerprints.  Tomorrow is day 120 since Accepted Payment Date. No Criminal History, in fact last traffic ticket over 15 years ago.  Even had a top secret security clearance in the service.

Is this for a renewal? I'm mentally preparing myself for a 140 day wait on a first time CCW application. Applied 5/3 no prints.

Roughly 320k! Questions are asked how the $78M in the FSB fund has been spent but no one answers.

Maybe it's time for a FOIA request about where our poll tax is going...

"You know, there are some words I've known since I was a schoolboy: 'With the first link, the chain is forged. The first speech censured...the first thought forbidden...the first freedom denied--chains us all irrevocably.' Those words were uttered by Judge Aaron Satie, as wisdom...and warning. The first time any man's freedom is trodden on, we're all damaged..." - Capt. Jean-Luc Picard

Sasquatch this is for a renewal.  LoL, Funny part is the state has more copies of my fingerprints on file as I have been working in Emergency Medical Services since 2010, and have to renew license every 4 years and am required to submit them for that purpose and be checked out.  It took me the full 90 days to get my FOID card renewed too.  This FOID and CCL is becoming a big joke now as far as the times goes, pay a court fine late and see what happens, but it is ok for them to take extra time to not have things on time.  I am pretty sure the law says this is a SHALL ISSUE if it goes past the time frame, with no objections.

Renewal submitted 02/02/2019 no prints. Now at129 Days. Inspect element this morning shows - Approved. Will they now hold all of these in approved status until the end of the month before going Active and then get them out sometime in July? They knew this was coming but yet they were not prepared. What is all of the estimated $78M that is going to the FSB being spent on? Its not like every back ground check takes days, it can be done in minutes, even with the 30 days for local law enforcement review it should not take 90 to 120 days for any new or renewal application to be processed. A background check is run on every card holder FOID & CCL everyday except for major holidays. 360 checks a year is not enough prove you are in fact a responsible gun owner?  Its all about making it as difficult as possible for the Law Abiding PATRIOTS to acquire and keep their Constitutionally protected arms. Don't be fooled "THEY WANT US ALL DISARMED "

A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

I also applied with prints on 6/4/19, under review as well. The wait definitely sucks.

Ill take the heat, because it gets cluttered and confusing at times.

We have a thread about Renewals and we also have a thread about Initial Applications.

No, the older thread isnt about 2014 and 2015, its been current ever since tho
Just add to the correct thread so its not read one here and post and read about the same thing in another.

Forums are like the news papers at one time, nicely laid out and you knew where to look for the exact information you wanted!

Seriously, some even place the exact same question right below the exact sane question without looking!

IC has a $*** ton of great information here, but it becomes harder to read and locate these days.
One guy even went to far as to state he wasnt going to read that many posts he would just ask again! Lazy?

Help us all out here fellas and gals, pack that great information you have, or look for that great nugget of information we have here.

Right now the search is more often an acquaintance than a friend as much as I try ;-). Maybe we will become friends again after the board upgrade.
