cola490 Posted October 15, 2018 at 04:06 PM Author Share Posted October 15, 2018 at 04:06 PM 90-60-30days, round and around, where it stops, nobody knows. When it appears it appears, I have never seen so many people so anxious to spend $150.00, plus the convenience fee.

spec5 Posted October 15, 2018 at 05:27 PM Share Posted October 15, 2018 at 05:27 PM It bothers me that instructors are saying things as fact when they should just say they don't know. I wonder what else they're saying to their students. Some Instructors feel it's an obligation to have all the answers instead of just being honest. Nothing is wrong with saying I don't know. soundguy Posted October 15, 2018 at 06:54 PM Share Posted October 15, 2018 at 06:54 PM The Department shall grant or deny an FCCL renewal application no later than 90 days after receipt of a completed application, except that the Department is granted by Section 30 b(8) of the Act 30 days in addition to the 90 days if the applicant has not previously submitted a full set of fingerprints in electronic format. I would hope they begin accepting renewal applications at least 120 days before the first one expires. After 5 years of carrying, it would be quite annoying to not be able to carry for even a short period of time.

As it has been stated before, once you submit for your renewal, you can continue to carry with your expired license. There is no rush for them to get a new one to you, because you are assumed to be valid. ( c ) A license is invalid upon expiration of the license, unless the licensee has submitted an application to renew the license, and the applicant is otherwise eligible to possess a license under this Act. I'd like to think an applied for but expired CCL would be reported by the state to Nlets as active, the same as a CCL reported to an ISP officer checking status. bmyers Posted October 15, 2018 at 08:36 PM Share Posted October 15, 2018 at 08:36 PM Yes, I would tell it to an out-of-state cop, just like I would local law enforcement. In addition, I care two out-of-state license, so that would help eliminate that problem for me.
