jkdkaliman101 Posted March 25, 2020 at 01:48 AM Share Posted March 25, 2020 at 01:48 AM Looking to switch out one of my mosins to a synthetic stock and add a scope. Recommendations for one with unlimited eye relief for that specific rifle?
DarkLord Posted March 25, 2020 at 04:36 PM Share Posted March 25, 2020 at 04:36 PM Depends on the amount of cash you want to spend - I have a Vortex Diamondback Tatical 4x16-44 FFP on a M1A and works fine for me out to 800yds.and just put a Vortex Diamondback Tatical 6x24-50 FFP on my Bolt rifle - both are 30mm tubes and can be had for a little under 400 bucks.. my only complaint is no Zero stop aside from that both are fine. BigBL87 Posted March 26, 2020 at 08:49 PM Share Posted March 26, 2020 at 08:49 PM Are you wanting extended/long eye relief? Not familiar with "unlimited" eye relief except for I guess red dots have that to an extent. Assuming you're looking at a LER/"scout" style scope, I'd look at the Vortex Crosfire 2-7 Scout (https://www.amazon.com/Vortex-Optics-Crossfire-2-7x32-Riflescope/dp/B01AWB3JPE) if you're on a budget. If you can be a bit more spendy, maybe the Burris 2-7 Scout (https://www.amazon.com/Burris-200261-Ballistic-Plex-2-7x32mm/dp/B00AU694YM/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=burris+scout+scope&qid=1585255756&sprefix=burris+scou&sr=8-3). TRJ Posted March 27, 2020 at 08:29 AM Share Posted March 27, 2020 at 08:29 AM I put a Burris 2-7 handgun scope on an M1 carbine fitted with an Amega Mounts railed handguard. Works brilliantly in that roll.
