I wish Colt would go back to making the Revolvers we all actually want but after watching several videos on the subject the sad fact is they can't and won't. The people who knew how to do it are all but gone, the prints may even be partially or fully lost for some models that is why the price on these guns continues to explode.

Also had read they either sold or destroyed the equipment used to make them. Oh the regrets for not buying back in the day...after all, I could always buy one later, right! A couple years ago an Italian company announced plans for a Python repo but I guess that fell through.

If you have not seen it check the below out; good listen while you are in the car and gives some insight as to why Colt is where it is today.

I wish them the best of luck relaunching the Cobra, etc line of revolvers but I think by the time I have kids and they are shooting Colt will no longer be a thing.

They brought back the Cobra and it absolutely got destroyed in reviews for quality issues.

The quality of the snake guns were from hand fitting skills obtained through many prior years of manufacturing. Anything that they label a snake gun now will be a desperate last ditch cash grab. I really hope they don't.

I saw a Night Cobra @ GAT the other day; the finish was terrible, like old AK/CZ75 "Poly Kote" terrible.

The fit and finish on the older Colts is as good as it gets. I’ve got a 1968 Colt Cobra snubby that is smooth as can be and the finish is great.

I had a 6” Trooper that was the base for the Boa. Again Much nicer bluing than current Colts. It’s still in the family.

Even my series 70 Government Model has nicer blueing than my later Commander.
