bluedog Posted January 24, 2020 at 02:16 AM Share Posted January 24, 2020 at 02:16 AM So I finally got my renewed FOID last Friday and my CCL came in the mail today. CCL expired back in Oct and FOID expired at the first of the year. My FOID says issued 1-15-2020 and expires 10 years later on 1-15-2030. CCL shows issued 1-17-2020 but they backdated the expiration to October 2024. Why doesn't the CCL expire 5 years from the issue date like the FOID? After waiting over 200 days for them to get around to renewing, it would have been nice to have it expire from the issue date.

InterestedBystander Posted January 24, 2020 at 03:02 AM Share Posted January 24, 2020 at 03:02 AM First I remember hearing of FOID renewing off of issue date and not expire date, but havent paid a lot oy attn either. CCL renewal has been 5 years from issue date. Law passed last year to make it 5 years from expire date. ISP had 6 months to enact. I dont expect them to implement on time.
