I have a real lot of harsh words to say that wouldn't be so family friendly but god this is getting bad. 25 (2) a person who voluntarily or involuntarily receives26 mental health treatment as an out-patient or is otherwise 1 provided services by a public or private mental health2 facility, and who poses a clear and present danger to3 himself, herself, or to others. The only changes to the existing law in that sectionis the addition of "or involuntarily" and otherwise With ALL respect, please:Let's not start running around screaming "fire" without cause. cybermgk Posted March 21, 2018 at 01:47 PM Share Posted March 21, 2018 at 01:47 PM Not sure how I feel about HB4403. (Allows judges, if agreed by Chief judge in district, who have a CCL to carry in GFZ like courthouses, executive branch areas). On, the one hand, any reduction of GFZ is good. On the other hand, and I think stronger, Too bad, so sad. YOu don't like that restriction, lift it for ALL CCL holders.,
cybermgk Posted March 21, 2018 at 01:53 PM Share Posted March 21, 2018 at 01:53 PM Oh heck no HB4851 "Amends the Firearm Concealed Carry Act. Provides that a licensee under the Act who is a current member of the General Assembly or a State employee may carry a concealed weapon on State property, except he or she shall not carry a concealed weapon on the grounds of the Capitol Complex." Oh no you don't. One rule for all, no special classes.

While I get what you are saying one can't always rely on party affiliation, especially R's lately. I suggest to always check the bill or at least the synopsis. This was a lot, unexpected and I was surprised to see so many bills...especially from the R's. Maybe Righters floor speech got some movement going on although there are many more other Pro bills filed I'd rather see come up. No doubt we will hear more on these above from mauserme as it gets closer to sessions resuming.
