TriumphRider Posted August 19, 2019 at 02:06 PM Share Posted August 19, 2019 at 02:06 PM Seems Rep Sandoval (D-Chicago) is fine and dandy with participating in a mock assassination of President Trump. I hope he receives a VERY UNCOMFORTABLE, and publicized visit by the Secret Service. https://chicago.cbslocal.com/2019/08/18/sandoval-mock-trump-assassination-photos/ This is the exact type of activity that encourages those mentally-ill people to cross over from fantasy to action, IMO. Sandoval should be removed from office and denied ANY/ALL benefits/retirement.
TriumphRider Posted August 19, 2019 at 02:16 PM Author Share Posted August 19, 2019 at 02:16 PM OK - I admit "Hamming up the thread title"- Sandoval most likely didn't stage it himself, but it was part of his fundraising event. He 'says' he's sorry. He's only sorry that it received attention outside of the event. He's sorry he got caught approving it.

ilphil Posted August 19, 2019 at 03:55 PM Share Posted August 19, 2019 at 03:55 PM Turn the clock back about 6 years, make it a Republican fundraiser and a character in an Obama outfit...the outrage in the media would be a tsunami. Just a tad hypocritical perhaps?
mrmagloo Posted August 19, 2019 at 04:03 PM Share Posted August 19, 2019 at 04:03 PM Wait a second, didn't we just hear about someone saying AOC deserves to get shot and the guy got charged with interstate threats? Seems to me, a Presidential threat is a bigger deal, so I would expect this moron to be arrested and charged accordingly.

Somehow the book on chargeable precrimes is not thick enough to detain anyone, anytime, for any reason. The government has decided they need more latitude to kick in doors. Link to comment

I don't need to mince "OPINIONS" when facts are involved. It's a FACT that we don't need red flag laws, even for this politician because we already have laws on the books to prosecute. I linked the factual statute from the government department of Justice website. If you advocate for the use of red flag laws, even against someone you don't like you are an enemy of freedom. You are an advocate for violating the 4th ammendment, which is equally as bad as an advocate for violating the 2nd ammendment, or any natural right. If a politician has immunity from statutes on the books how do you think you're going to fair against additional encroachments of your 4th ammendment by those very politicians. Facts don't care about your feelings, snowflake. Link to comment
