Thanks for the purchase. I ship the same day the order is placed, so I hate to hear when the post office wont ring the bell to deliver.

Enjoy your knife.

It is not just USPS, the other carriers often have the same issue. Or they slap a missed you sticker on, tap the bell, run to the truck and drive away before you can get halfway to the door!

I have one of these. It is a very nice knife and I carry it everywhere (except when I'm in IL, can you guys fix that?). :)

Trying...if it ever gets to committee

SB2229

Synopsis As Introduced

Amends the Criminal Code of 2012. Provides that a provision prohibiting the sale, manufacture, purchase, possession, or carrying of any knife, commonly referred to as a switchblade, which has a blade that opens automatically by hand pressure applied to a button, spring, or other device in the handle of the knife, does not apply to a person who is 18 years of age or older (currently, a person who possesses a currently valid Firearm Owner's Identification Card previously issued in his or her name by the Department of State Police). Effective immediately.

None of the Boker AKs are liner locks all are plunge locks I only sell switchblades.

Only the Protech Cambria is a flipper and the only non auto on the whole site, but it’s such a nice knife I couldn’t resist.

All of the Buck knives are the traditional lock back style even though they are autos.

QS: I can't tell from the descriptions on your website, which ones are liner lock vs. button lock?

Do I understand this correctly? These knives are legal to own in Illinois but they're not legal to carry in Illinois? Or, am I wrong?

Currently as law written must have a FOID card. No statewide preemption so also have restrictions of any local municipal laws. There is a separate thread discussing local restrictions.

Just got the black drop point in today, works really well, guys at the shop liked it. It'll give it a good sharpen later this evening, see how it rides in my pocket at work tomorrow. Seems to be about 2/3 the size of my Automat 101, which does take up considerable pocket space. I'll know better after a couple weeks of slicing open cartons & pallets. If it holds an edge as well as the 101 it's a keeper.
