CCL & FOID Renewal
Kingcreek replied to cola490's topic in Illinois Concealed Carry Licensing Process
I completed the renewal class and successfully submitted my CCL and the FOID renewal option button disappeared but I keep getting emails notifying me that my FOID expires in about 4 weeks. my portal says I’m 83 days out from CCL. i know my CCL is supposed to be controlling date but why do I keep getting these irritating emails but I can see a way to renew my FOID anyway. is this just more Illinois BS and dysfunction? F U jelly belly and commie rah ool. -
States Where Illinois Carry Licensees May Carry
Kingcreek replied to Molly B.'s topic in Illinois Right to Keep and Carry
Anyone else notice that after 10 years a lot of those signs they handed out to businesses are faded to almost nothing? I’ve seen some with a portion of grey haze and a pink circle/slash. I walk right past them while armed if it’s a private business or bank (not so much if it’s a categorical like post office or school. -
Thanks all. So completing the renewal for CCL satisfies the FOID renewal process and fee. that was my first assumption since the FOID renewal button disappeared from the portal. But being Illinois, I hate to assume anything would work like that. now I need to correct my instructor with the updated info

No prints. And why would that matter to the FOID term anyway? Fingerprints don’t change. And why add 10 years of permission every time you buy a gun? is that law or isp policy? my FOID and CCL exp dates are the same since my last renewal 5 years ago. 5 years from now, I will probably be a resident of another state.

So I don’t have to do anything else if I completed the CCL? I looked at all the FAQs on the ISP portal and found NO answers. So I clicked the link to contact them and submitted my question. Immediately got an auto reply saying “we have limited staff to respond to inquiries. Please refer to our FAQ page.” smfh

My FOID and CCL both expire same date in may 2024. I took renewal class and went on the portal. There was a renew button for FOID and another for CCL. I completed the CCL application and now there is no renew FOID button. do I NOT have to renew FOID now that I completed the CCW renewal? I can’t find any answer anywhere and my renewal instructor told me I still have to renew FOID. this is crazy

WHEN to apply for CCL renewal?
Kingcreek replied to Hawkeye's topic in Illinois FOID Application, Renewal & Appeal Process
I am going to take a class in Kewanee for renewal. It is only 45 minutes away from you. Heck, I'd be happy to take mine with you if you want. Roger Honts at Lifetime Firearms and Training. $75 for the class, they sched after you pay. -

Compromise means they win, we lose. -
Doesn’t matter. He got a piece of something he didn’t have before. He wins. even if it’s found unconstitutional and reversed he has stopped sales for awhile, damaged private FFLs and businesses, and infringed multiple rights.

Didn’t they push legislation to allow illegal aliens to get DLs? Or was that just state ID?

Mr Fife, don’t wait on the cast iron, it’s getting harder to find and more expensive. still check goodwill, or small town flea markets or antique malls, estate sales etc. I have more than a life time supply. If they aren’t cracked warped or made in Taiwan they can probably be reconditioned to great. Don’t just hang them on a wall. Use them.

This is just another way of saying "We made a mess of everything, we will continue to make a mess of everything, we don't know how to fix it, and we don't care."
