Empty Holster Open Carry In GFZ

If I see an empty holster, I'm looking around for a dropped firearm. It isn't a good look.

Keep it concealed like you would if it weren't empty. At the very least you aren't screaming, "There is a gun in my car and I'm unarmed!"

Not exactly fitting to the premise of the thread..... but related.


Went to the PBR in St Louis tonight. I set off the alarms on the scanner as I passed through due to the steel grommets on my IWB.


The guy started to wand me and I told him he could probably just go to my 4 o'clock waist as thats where my holster is sitting. He gave a weird look as I lifted my jacket, then said "OK an empty holster, enjoy the event"

It's not illegal, but what would be the point of displaying an empty holster?
You'll not stand out in any way. Your entire image is crafted to leave no lasting impression on anyone you encounter. You're a rumor, recognizable only as deja vu, and dismissed just as quickly.
