Jpsjps Posted August 12, 2019 at 03:15 PM Share Posted August 12, 2019 at 03:15 PM Hi everyone, great site I came across a few weeks ago. Had a quick question regarding background checks. So I'm on my 3rd month of waiting for my Illinois ccl app to change from submitted. I've recieved my Florida ccl last Friday. My question is, do you think since Florida cleared me that Illinois will too? The only thing on my record happened 10 years ago and case was dropped. I haven't received any rejection letters or anything. it's just something that I've been wondering. Thanks
Skolnick Posted August 12, 2019 at 03:25 PM Share Posted August 12, 2019 at 03:25 PM I lost my wallet. I sent Florida and Illinois a notarized affidavit. Florida requires it to go though the US Mails, Illinois is done on-line. Florida requires $15 / Illinois requires $80. My Florida replacement card was in my hands in 28 days / Illinois took 104. Mind you, this was just for a replacement card for someone who has already been approved.
Chief Illiniwek Posted August 12, 2019 at 03:32 PM Share Posted August 12, 2019 at 03:32 PM Welcome to the forum. No, it won't make a difference at all. Did you submit prints?

Bubbacs Posted August 12, 2019 at 03:50 PM Share Posted August 12, 2019 at 03:50 PM No two state are alikeOne may fast track a CCL to youThe other may drag it’s feet and find some minor scratch to either hold or deny you.As no lawyers are here and giving advice over the inter webs is best done........never. It’s going to be a wait and see for you. But on the other hand if lots of people say something about what will happen, one of them might get it right and then that person will be you personal psychic. InterestedBystander Posted August 12, 2019 at 06:45 PM Share Posted August 12, 2019 at 06:45 PM Are you in Cook county? That 10 year old thing may or may not be an issue depending on what it was and your local LEO. And did the dropped info make its way back into the system. A lot of variables. Many get those old things expunged if allowed just to be on the safe side. IMO, a FL approval will have no impact on your IL application. Give it 90 to 135 days and see what happens. Which were only the instructors. Once the general public started renewing, they skyrocketed.
