Ne1fortennis Posted June 12, 2018 at 08:56 PM Share Posted June 12, 2018 at 08:56 PM The best way to minimize school shooting casualties is either to abolish gun free zones or redefine the term to recognize reality and common sense. Please sign this petition and get everyone you know on board: https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/repeal-or-amend-gun-free-school-zones-act-light-otis-mcdonald-decision-cost-benefit-analysis It's critical to hit the ground running and get it up to 150 signatures as soon as possible so it can be visible to the general public and gain enough momentum to force an official response. Note that they will send an email to the address you enter and another step is required for confirmation. Targets must be hardened on the inside, whether or not they appear so on the outside. In a terrorist attack, armed guards are just the first ones killed. But, even a terrorist would be discouraged by the possibility that Miss Crabapple might shoot him in the back. Let's not have a tragedy like this in America: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beslan_school_siege

Thomas Paine Posted June 24, 2018 at 04:30 AM Share Posted June 24, 2018 at 04:30 AM It's hard to believe that so many people signed this, but didn't follow up by convincing 1 or 2 friends to give it some traction. The Otis McDonald Medal of Freedom petition never got enough signatures to go viral. This one raises awareness of him and is a second chance for that, too. It also raises awareness of Gillian Jeffords, the teacher who will go to prison on a felony charge if nothing changes. That's the opinion of the attorney who won the landmark McDonald decision. He said the Supreme Court isn't taking even mundane Second Amendment cases, let alone carry, let alone carry in a school. A lot of good can come from a little effort and a sense of urgency here.
