Call Rauner's Office

Coiled

Recommended Posts

I just got off the phone with the Governors office and tell them you oppose the bills recently passed in House and Senate. Ask him to veto the bills. Lady I talked to was polite said he has no stance on them currently as the policy board is looking into them.

Number is 217-782-0244 For the Springfield office

Number is 312-814-2121 For the Chicago Office

Lady said she got there at 830 AM and phones have been ringing off the hook about the bills. It's probably not going to do anything but heck worth a shot.

ADMIN These numbers are the numbers for Public servant for the Governors Office.

I am in process of possibly rooting my family up and moving out of this state if these do past.

I also called. It was easy to tell the line was in heavy use.

For people just starting to call elected officials, no need to editorialize- they've heard it and they want to get back to work. Just request the Governor veto the anti-gun bills, numbers are usually not needed during a time like this.

I had a lot of trouble falling asleep last night because I was so p***** off. I informed my wife if these measure pass, we are moving out of Illinois and its not negotiable. We'll also enjoy a big income increase due to the lower property taxes and lower or no state income tax once we leave. I am so seething mad.....

That was the scene in our home, too. We couldn't sleep either, and our plan to exit Illinois by May 2019 was updated to "ASAP".

That is being discussed in mine as well. The big stumbling block is finding a good school district close to the border (still need access to the grandparents) and close to a major highway.

1776

Exactly.

I would really like to get a better read on illinois. It's a fiscal disaster but was always short of CA and NY and NJ on the crazy progressive BS. Is this just a case of they outmaneuvered and out gunned us this time or have enough conservative producers left the state that its going ideological now. Frankly I always figured CA style progressive ideology was too wasteful and took too much $$$ away from the corruption, graft and grift in the state for madigan etc to want to go there.

Looking at Idaho. My stepdaughter and her husband are talking of moving to Washington state. I won't. Still hoping against hope that the next election will go our way and we won't be moving for a year or two. If Rauner signs these bills or lets them sit until they become law, or the election goes against us, then we will be looking to leave asap.

I have been calling 2 to 3 times a day since I posted this Wife has been calling. I have about 12 friends calling Heck I even have a buddy in Kentucky and Indiana with Illinois area codes calling in. I really don't like to move I actually hate it but when the writing is on the wall and Illinois becomes full fledge communist state its time to move. Illinois cant even have a balanced budget due to their corruption. We have turn coat republicans that say they are republicans yet they lean left.

Had a pair of campaign workers for Rauner ring my doorbell in Champaign on Saturday. I made it very clear to them that a veto on dealer licensing would go a long way toward securing my vote in the primary.. and that anything but a veto before the primary would probably mean I would vote for someone else in the primary.

Their ears perked up quite a bit at that information.. and that I was able to list bills by number to oppose..
