GeekDad Posted April 27, 2017 at 02:55 PM Share Posted April 27, 2017 at 02:55 PM Looks like we have another range going in! Fox Valley Shooting Club got approval yesterday on a 5-4 vote of the Elgin City Council after being voted down two weeks ago. http://www.dailyherald.com/business/20170427/elgin-council-reverses-itself-oks-gun-range-catering-to-women

Hap Posted April 27, 2017 at 04:27 PM Share Posted April 27, 2017 at 04:27 PM What's the over/under on how long it will take for the antis to file a lawsuit? Or did the Niles outcome dampen their enthusiasm for this sort of thing?
GeekDad Posted April 27, 2017 at 04:30 PM Author Share Posted April 27, 2017 at 04:30 PM Rhonda Ezell was there and spoke about what happened in Chicago. That got them thinking for sure.
Patriots & Tyrants Posted April 27, 2017 at 07:54 PM Share Posted April 27, 2017 at 07:54 PM More competition for GAT down the road is good, might drive some of their prices down and make the weekends a little less hellish.

I usually go to GATs on a weekday to avoid some of the retards the weekends bring. Mixed results though. Some days are fairly empty and other days there's a large group holding everybody up, like on a Wednesday morning.

mikew Posted April 27, 2017 at 11:52 PM Share Posted April 27, 2017 at 11:52 PM What's the over/under on how long it will take for the antis to file a lawsuit? Or did the Niles outcome dampen their enthusiasm for this sort of thing?Stonebeak and her ilk were there. One of them was braggin about suing niles, but forgot to mention that they lost the suit. One of them mentioned in her public comment that Ezell was not relevant. After it was my slot to speak, it was all Rhonda!I would have loved to see the faces drop on the Niles crew. Stonebeak addressed the board after Rhonda, noting how "Ezell v Chicago did not apply here",but apparently she did not get the memo about Ezell II.But she did manage to mispronounce Ezell at every turn. The corporate council for the city did get the memo, however, and explained Ezell II to the city council before they voted on it.. Note to us all:the Niles/Skokie bunch was well organized, albeit with the wrong information.they had their Elgin bunch outfitted in green T shirts, and in place, by the time that Stonebeak arrived.
