mauserme Posted February 3, 2018 at 08:56 PM Author Share Posted February 3, 2018 at 08:56 PM I'm catching up on a few things today. These bills have been added to our lists: HB4502 Display Of Imitation Firearms HB4525 FOID Card Expiration HB4530 Firearms - US Armed Forces SB2435 Lethal Order of Protection And we'll be watching: SB2423 Criminal Law Tech Most of these are obvious. We oppose HB4502 because the definition of imitation firearm is much too broad.

InterestedBystander Posted February 6, 2018 at 05:25 AM Share Posted February 6, 2018 at 05:25 AM I there still a suppressor bill that has a minuscule chance of passing? Not to speak for Mauser or anyone else, but the 3 suppressor bills I recall from 2017 were referred to rules / assignments back in May or so and that's where they are now. Havent seen any new suppressor bills filed in 2018. With all of the anti-bills last year, e.g. gun dealer licensing, many of which will be returning and changes in legislature, I'm afraid some of the previous momentum has been lost. edit: one new suppressor bill filed this month HB4719. mauserme Posted February 17, 2018 at 11:52 PM Author Share Posted February 17, 2018 at 11:52 PM Ok, here's what I have since the last updates. Let me know if you spot anything I missed. InterestedBystander Posted February 18, 2018 at 05:03 PM Share Posted February 18, 2018 at 05:03 PM Sorry, my apologies. I should have but did not go back to first page to check and was looking at the ones on page 2 since the "last update". Amazes me how you manage tracking all of the shell bills filed as there are so many and they can be changed to anything from filing them in an unrelated category with a simple word replacement. Machine gun penalties seems an odd bill increasing penalties as they are already a banned IL item for the general masses...is there a rash of full auto shootings lately? mauserme Posted February 18, 2018 at 05:33 PM Author Share Posted February 18, 2018 at 05:33 PM No worries. I guess I didn't do an interim update on those. As long as we have them that's all I care about. There have been a couple shootings in Chicago that might have involved automatic fire, or not.
