67vtx1800 Posted June 6, 2019 at 11:23 AM Share Posted June 6, 2019 at 11:23 AM I am closing on a house and moving tomorrow. I am currently on day 115 and still under review on my renewal with out prints. Should I change my license ASAP and update my info on the ISP site. Or just have my mail held in hopes that it will arrive in the next 30 days? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
axel2078 Posted June 6, 2019 at 12:22 PM Share Posted June 6, 2019 at 12:22 PM As someone who just went through this, I would probably advise to have your mail held if you think you are close to receiving your license. My status (for renewal) went Active in early April and I never got my CCL before I moved on May 8th, so the card was sent back to the ISP and now I am back "Under Review." I changed my address with the IL Secretary of State website within 5 days of moving, as well as updated my vehicle registration and a couple weeks later, I updated the address info on my FOID, which put me back "Under Review" for that too. I'd be surprised if I have my new FOID and corrected CCL within 120 days.
67vtx1800 Posted June 21, 2019 at 02:40 AM Author Share Posted June 21, 2019 at 02:40 AM Following up for record keeping purposes. I moved while under review. I called the ISP hotline and asked what to do. I was told no problem you are on day 118 (no printer). The Gentleman on the phone changed my address for me. But advised that I change my license address in the SOS site asap. Which I did. All went well. I have license in hand in day 127 with new address. I do feel this turned out fine. It would work better if the ISP had a documented process. My only b**** would be that it appears as though apps are sat on and only acted upon on or near the statutory deadlines. I find it hard to believe they are too busy to run these FIFO yet somehow can act on day 120? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
axel2078 Posted June 21, 2019 at 12:48 PM Share Posted June 21, 2019 at 12:48 PM I'm glad to hear things worked out for you. So if you go back under review because of a move, do they have another 120 days to approve you...even if you were already approved before the move? I'm still under review for my FOID too. For reference, I submitted my renewal in early February.
