Kingcreek Posted September 26, 2020 at 05:08 PM Share Posted September 26, 2020 at 05:08 PM Our county republicans are urging a no vote to retain but his campaign mailer claims endorsed by ISRA (and FOP). I can't find any info on him or his politics. Anyone have any info?
mauserme Posted September 26, 2020 at 06:32 PM Share Posted September 26, 2020 at 06:32 PM In the past he's actively sought endorsements from the NRA and ISRA, and has received those endorsements based on his 2A rulings. The county Republican group is looking at a broader picture than single issue gun groups look at, possibly finding fault with rulings in other areas. Kingcreek Posted September 26, 2020 at 07:32 PM Author Share Posted September 26, 2020 at 07:32 PM So he claims to be pro gun? And pro LEO? But owes his retention to madigan and is part of the 4:3 dem court majority that has something to do with redistricting? Now I’m really confused. Benbow Posted September 28, 2020 at 08:32 PM Share Posted September 28, 2020 at 08:32 PM Killbride is OK. I would vote for him if I could. The Chamber of Commerce and its ilk are more concerned about such things as lawsuits against their members than they are the Second Amendment. In fact, they don't care at all about the Second Amendment. The chamber of commerce gives LOTS of money to republicans in court races, and by LOTS I mean LOTs. If your more concerned about whether (hypothetically) Allstate has to pay an extra $20 on auto claims, than you are about whether you get to keep your AR15 or 30 round magazine, vote no on retention. If your AR15 and magazine is more important, vote yes. Simple as that.
