Applying for AZ CWP with IL CCL

Has anyone done the AZ non-res permit application recently and used their CCL as their proof of training? There were a couple things I was confused about:

1. When I requested my packets, they said that a copy of my CCL would be acceptable. Do I need to simply submit a photocopy of my CCL then (front and back)/does it matter if it's color or black & white?

2. On the back they ask for the organization that provided the training. I took my CCL course with an instructor at a range, but for the purposes of applying with the CCL would I list this as my instructor's name, my instructor's employer, the issuing agency (in this case the ISP), or another organization/agency?

Thanks.

There is a place or line to stamp or sign the form.

So I wouldn’t do them myself.

It’s no cost and if they receive 2 (both) cards as unreadable then you’ll start over!

But I could be wrong, but I have the non resident and they provides the cards and those MUST be the ones used!

NOTE: You must utilize the “Applicant” fingerprint cards provided by the Department. Regardless of who completes the fingerprinting process for you, the prints must be clear, distinct and classifiable.

I'd assume I need to use theirs since they stamp their agency info on the cards. They also ask for the signature of both the person being fingerprinted and the person doing the fingerprinting (and I won't claim to have any experience doing fingerprints, lol).

But for purposes of using CCL for the application, who should I list as the "entity" that provided the training course? The instructor I took my CCL course with/their employer, or the agency that issued the CCL?

When I first started teaching CC I requested info from Florida and Arizona on applications from their states. Both sent me a case of 100 applications. Florida required prints from an LE. Arizona only required clear prints. Both states will mail you an application for free. Florida sends one card and Arizona sends two. Due to having 100 aps, I always had my students submit 2 cards to Florida. Your mileage may vary.

You answered that ur self

the "entity" that provided the training course

the agency that issued the CCL

The ISP provides guidelines

They do not provide the training

I’d add purple to seem to not be rude, but lite hearted instead!

Thanks, sorry I was just confused. Should I also send a copy of my CCL certificate along with the photocopy of my CCL as proof of where I received my training then?

the entity that provided the training would be on the cert

please do not copy and mail your CCL to anyone

you use the cert as proof here in Illinois and you use it elsewhere also

Right, that makes more sense. I guess it's a bit confusing since when I emailed them to get my application packets they stated that "a [photo]copy of the Illinois permit" would be acceptable, and didn't necessarily mention the certificate instead. The law also mentions "A valid current or expired concealed weapon, firearm or handgun permit or license that is issued by another state or a political subdivision of another state and that has a training or testing requirement for initial issuance."

I do have an NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting cert from last year, would it maybe be a better idea to submit a copy of this instead as proof of training?

I would use the NRA Cert.
