Ralffers Posted February 26, 2018 at 09:14 PM Share Posted February 26, 2018 at 09:14 PM .UPDATE(S) SB2288 No Contact Order - Counseling was moved to 3rd reading.. SB2561 Pre-Package Explosive Component moved to 3rd reading. The amendment was adopted on SB337 Regulation Tech(SB1657 Gun Dealer Licensing Trailer Bill). The amendment was adopted on SB559 Criminal Law Tech (Lethal Order of Protection Act). HB4725 Gun Dealer Licensing has been scheduled for a Judiciary - Criminal Hearing the morning of 2/28/2018. . OK, I'm a little confused and need help... I called all my state reps, Congressmen, and even the Governor's office, voicing my opposition to all of these bills, plus the assault weapon ban, SB3297 – but when I click on the links to the bills in this thread, they do not lead to witness slips (the only one I was able to file was in opposition to HB4725). However, I do see under the links provided, under the "Witness Slip" tab that people have filed witness slips... What am I doing wrong? I really do want to make sure I do effectively everything I can to make sure all of these anti-gun bills do not pass!

Ralffers Posted February 26, 2018 at 09:30 PM Share Posted February 26, 2018 at 09:30 PM What am I doing wrong?Witness slips are created at my.ilga.gov. The legislative text is read at ilga.gov (no my). Right, and I'm still confused... I'm logged into my account and do not see a way to create slips. When I click the schedule tab for this week, I do not see any of the aforementioned bills up for a vote, and thus am not able to create a witness slip. My apologies if these seems stupid and obvious... (I feel very stupid right now),
Euler Posted February 26, 2018 at 09:47 PM Share Posted February 26, 2018 at 09:47 PM ... I do not see any of the aforementioned bills up for a vote ... Go to my.ilga.gov.Click House (or Senate as appropriate) on the left to expand.Click Committee Hearings on the left.Click Week tab (the default is just Today) on top.Find the committee (usually Judiciary - Criminal Committee) and click the Hearing Details icon on the right.Find the bill, click the Create Witness Slip icon on the right. For example, the HB1465 et al. amendments are scheduled for 2/27.
