stoph68 Posted September 5, 2013 at 08:02 PM Share Posted September 5, 2013 at 08:02 PM OK.... Now I see where he got the FCCL acronym.... I thought that he was referring to the ever so elusive Federal Concealed Carry License like the one that Santa Clause and the Easter Bunny carry. lol.. This is actually where my question originally sprung from.. If as instructors we are required to poses a Concealed Carry license to teach then should that license not come with our teaching credentials? The law actually only states that instructors must "meet the requirements of section 25 of this act and any additional uniformly applied requirements established by the department". Guess that leaves it pretty open huh?

ragsbo Posted September 6, 2013 at 12:25 AM Share Posted September 6, 2013 at 12:25 AM Since the instructors will have to wait till January to file for their concealed permits like everyone else; will they also be required to attend 8 hrs training to get the training required or will they get credit for teaching? Will they have to at least do the shooting qualifications?
Mr. Fife Posted September 6, 2013 at 12:29 AM Share Posted September 6, 2013 at 12:29 AM Instructors will still have to apply and according to the new rules just released by ISP via Todd, says we will have to keep a valid FCCL Meh, I've got three of them. wacker45acp Posted September 9, 2013 at 11:20 PM Share Posted September 9, 2013 at 11:20 PM I know this is Illanoy, but one would think one back ground check would be enough. If they vet you for an instructors permit, that might speed up your ccw permit application. Could you ask about that
Bud Posted September 10, 2013 at 02:20 AM Share Posted September 10, 2013 at 02:20 AM I keep wondering about what happens to those that already have an Illinois concealed carry permit (as LEOs or retired LEOs) Are we now going to have to get State Police issued concealed carry permit as Instructors? Do I have to maintain two different licenses?
