C0untZer0 Posted December 3, 2011 at 06:10 PM Share Posted December 3, 2011 at 06:10 PM Can it reaally take this long to decide this case ??? I wonder if the two judges for Moore & Shepherd are just each waiting for the other judge to go first.

NakPPI Posted December 4, 2011 at 07:40 PM Share Posted December 4, 2011 at 07:40 PM The official transcript of the injunction hearing was filed. This is part of what is done when preparing the record for appeal...

Chicago, review Shepard v. Madigan?

NakPPI Posted December 4, 2011 at 09:34 PM Share Posted December 4, 2011 at 09:34 PM Lol. None of the judges that heard Ezell have died. We should all hope that the appeal is assigned to Judge Sykes, the judge from Ezell that destroyed the city attorney at oral argument.
Danielm60660 Posted December 4, 2011 at 11:52 PM Share Posted December 4, 2011 at 11:52 PM @NakPPI, can you explain your statement re. preparing for appeal? If it's just the transcript being filed and there is no decision, who is preparing for appeal?DM
NakPPI Posted December 5, 2011 at 12:34 AM Share Posted December 5, 2011 at 12:34 AM In order for the case to go up on appeal the record must be complete. The fact that an official transcript has already been filed is a good sign. It means that the case can immediately be appealed after the judge rules. Cases get delayed while waiting for transcripts to be made official. Admittedly I am reading into this a bit, but please don't burst my bubble.
