lockman Posted May 20, 2020 at 10:23 PM Share Posted May 20, 2020 at 10:23 PM I am sure the orders are just getting some spitshine and polish and will be reintroduced as new and improved. ^ this ***
oneshot Posted May 20, 2020 at 10:28 PM Share Posted May 20, 2020 at 10:28 PM So...I guess this means we shouldn't be expecting the shelter-in-place to end on May 31st?
borgranta Posted May 20, 2020 at 10:48 PM Share Posted May 20, 2020 at 10:48 PM I heard him say something about adding the rules if the legislators fail to act. I took that to mean that he will take it upon himself to add rules if he does not like the legislation passed by the legislastors.
Tip Posted May 20, 2020 at 10:56 PM Share Posted May 20, 2020 at 10:56 PM Really didn’t have much choice but to withdraw it. Most sheriffs said no. Many LEO’s said no. ISP issued a statement basically saying no. JCAR was under significant pressure and weren’t going to fall on their swords for him. He either withdrew it or got it shoved back down his throat. He’s got a problem now, he’s going to have to turn to the legislature and there’s enough PO’d folks outside of Chicago that, regardless of party affiliation, and pretty much regardless of Madigan purse-strings he’s not likely to get much support from them. They pretty much ought to know that no matter what $$ Madigan wants to toss to them it won’t be enough to overcome the PO’d voters.

From what I heard today, "Jabba" is going to try and convince the ILGA to pass a new law that mirrors his EO. Won't that be dandy?
