  1. Steel melts at around 2600 deg F. depending on type. At 4200 the car and any other steel in it would melt. Metal Melting Temperatures of Common Engineering Materials (engineersedge.com)
  2. I do not know where you live. I moved back to Indiana about 2 years ago. My town is always washing blood off the streets. It is done in the early morning, so perhaps you thought that your streets were wet because of rain. I sometimes get up extra early so that I can collect a bucket of blood to fertilize my roses. They looked great last year.😉
  3. I agree with the court's logic. Of course, it just applies to Ohio. The article says that he fired a warning shot at the aggressor. So, if he had claimed that he was trying hit the person, the state of Ohio might not have charged him? What is the point of a warning shot to frighten, if a gun is already pointed at you? The next shot will probably from the other person with intent to kill or injure. What is the difference between a warning shot at and poor marksmanship?
  4. Why not just sign in on the ISP with your Mac, start your application and see what happens?
  5. No expiration dates posted on the card. The CCL expiration date in posted in the ISP site. I realize that you know this, but some will think otherwise.
  6. Could it be pleaded down to vandalism? Was it an emotional act of frustration? Did he stop hitting the case because his anger was abated or that he realized he could not break the glass to get to its contents?
  7. Am I missing something? Posters are referring to a video, but I do not see any links.
  8. What is a covered registered firearm? I lived in Illinois several years and owned guns. I do not remember registering any firearm.
  9. Fingerprints can fade with age. I did fingerprints when I got my license 10 - 11 years ago. The technician had to make several tries. She said that it was fairly common for older people. I have had several prints, both scanned and inked, volunteering, Florida CC, my new state CC. I had problems with each one. Results with my I-pad vary. If I had to get to my gun quickly, I would not want to depend on the reliability of a fingerprint scanner.
  10. I would think that the stock of anything that Chicago rejects would skyrocket. One of the big problems is that it is racist. "First, as the MacArthur Justice Center details, ShotSpotter is deployed overwhelmingly in communities of color, which already disproportionately bear the brunt of a heavy police presence. The police say they pick neighborhoods for deployment based on where the most shootings are, but there are several problems with that: . . ." Four Problems with the ShotSpotter Gunshot Detection System | ACLU Apparently, it would be better to place the ShotSpotters in downstate corn and soybean fields. Why would you want police where the crime is?
  11. I have not had any problems; except the minor usual this page is not working clinch which clears by refreshing the page. I use Edge, also.
  12. Peoria PD may have decided that was not worth the effort to pursue the matter further. They have that discretion. They can always have another look. His name and address are on file. They might be spending more time on the other robbers. Juries are not predictable, even in NYC. 1984 New York City Subway shooting - Wikipedia FWIW: Peoria is not a 2A sanctuary county.
  13. Was that before CCL passed? It would be odd to be able to CC with a loaded gun while shopping but be required to have a trigger lock on to go into the range.
  14. I would renew sooner, rather than later. There can always be an unexpected glitch. You could mistakenly click the wrong box. I believe renewals are still subject to LEO challenges. You could forget, if you wait and get involved with other things.
