Quiet Observer Posted March 3, 2020 at 01:55 AM Share Posted March 3, 2020 at 01:55 AM Here is a discussion on gunsafes. It makes several points on what to look for in a safe. He favors one brand and so could be a little slanted. He recommends 11 gauge steel. I think many Liberty safes are 14 gauge, i.e. they have thinner steel. Cost is a factor. No matter how good it is, if you cannot afford it it is useless to you. Intended purpose - are you just keeping guns away from the kids and grandkids, or are you protecting several $1000s of guns from thieves.
