CyberGuyPR Posted November 21, 2013 at 07:39 PM Share Posted November 21, 2013 at 07:39 PM Not sure where to put this so if the mods find a better place please move it. Back in August I submitted an application for and SBR via eForms using a trust. I just got an email indicating that is was DISSAPROVED. The reason just appears as "APPLICANT DOES NOT MEET ILLINOIS STATE LAW REQUIREMENTS TO MAKE SBR." I sent a copy of my trust, FOID, and C&R along with the application. I am in the process fo calling the NFA branch to gather details on what happened. In the meanwhile, if anyone here has any insight on what may have happened or suggestions let's hear them. Tvandermyde Posted November 21, 2013 at 07:46 PM Share Posted November 21, 2013 at 07:46 PM trusts were not included and I don;t believe that C&Rs can be held by a trust

Atf is claiming to understand intent of law and their job is to interpret law. Were going to see a lot of these posts unless they are made to reverse their decision. I want my 6.5 grendel ar15 10.5" upper to be here in Illinois with me on a SBR lower like it was before. Loctite/paint pen/regularly check your gear. cm.stites Posted November 21, 2013 at 08:13 PM Share Posted November 21, 2013 at 08:13 PM it was denied because of trying to use a trust... The atf knows full well c&r holders can apply for sbr's and has stated so on many occasions its also been said from the start you couldn't use a trust and that c&rs cant be held under a trust either. Jblankster Posted November 26, 2013 at 05:16 PM Share Posted November 26, 2013 at 05:16 PM Why can't one just get a cr and then a trust? My name is A SMITH I apply for C&R as A SMITH Make trust as What the hey!!! trust get C&R, fill out form 1 as trust, submit C&R with it. This way you have a C&R tied to you and not the trust directly.
cm.stites Posted November 26, 2013 at 06:27 PM Share Posted November 26, 2013 at 06:27 PM because if you submit a trust on the form 1 your automatically DENIED by Illinois LAW.. on top of that the C&R cannot be tied to a trust at all. 03's goto individuals not trusts or companys... trying to skirt the laws isn't going to work in your favor on this one.. so no matter what with a trust on a form 1 in Illinois your automatically denied.... and with the new rules the atf is proposing on "trusts" you wouldn't want your c&r tied to a trust anyways.
