chargermick Posted February 19, 2020 at 02:00 AM Share Posted February 19, 2020 at 02:00 AM Big thanks to THE KING for the Palmetto state armory recommendation. My daughter and I just picked up the Shield that I can't believe I only paid $250 for. Great advice King! I will definately shop Palmetto again. THE KING Posted February 19, 2020 at 02:48 AM Share Posted February 19, 2020 at 02:48 AM If you need ammo, especially JHP ammo for self defense, look at Target Sports USA. They have sales all the time and really good prices.

Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkA PSA "Thought"....http://www.doodnet.com/images/rollpin.png Regarding the Shield...I was never interested in them....Until...I was helping a (now x-gf) choose a home pistol. Took her to the range..ran thru a few of mine..she didnt take to em.We went looking and I let her handle, inspect etc. She chose a shield! (I was all thumbs up..it worked for her)Soon after I picked up one for giggles so I could help her with it. Questions, cleaning etc... I had to have to not 'guess' right?Funny thing happened...I really took a shine to it! Its currently a regular in my rotation. If I wasnt focused on another particular pistol, I'd pick myself another shield at the 250 price... So..in short...good choice!! You chose well Grasshopper. chargermick Posted February 19, 2020 at 03:55 AM Author Share Posted February 19, 2020 at 03:55 AM I've had my Shield 6 years now, put at least 3000 rounds through it and it has never failed once. This is just what my daughter needs, it goes bang every time. I will check out Target sports, thanks again.

vito Posted February 20, 2020 at 05:41 PM Share Posted February 20, 2020 at 05:41 PM The Shield is a nice pistol, but if you are considering it, I suggest you also look at the Ruger lc9s. Very similar gun, but with what I consider a superior trigger. I doubt though, that you could find a new one for $250.
