Used to be a great man on Colt forums who restored old grip panels but sadly we lost him. Anyone know who can clean up checkering and refinish a set of grips ?

I bet you could do it yourself.  How hard could it be?

Well they are old Colt Grips and the checkering needs sharpened up a bit. I could try but wouldnt want to screw them up. Not too easy to find. The guy who used to do it would make junk look brand new. Replacing chunks and looking perfect.i suppose I can look at Brownell and see how much the tools cost but rather have them done right.

Check out this place. A new set might be reasonable.

A gun is like a parachute. If you need one, and don't have one, you'll probably never need one again.
