largefarva Posted June 21, 2017 at 09:52 AM Share Posted June 21, 2017 at 09:52 AM Just did a change of address for both my FOID and CCL and received the new cards late last week. On both of them there is a statement on the paper they were attached to stating to verify all info is correct and to contact the ISP firearms division if there are any discrepancies. Well, both cards have my old weight on them still instead of my new weight that would match my DL. I tried several times to call the number listed but it just gives me a brief message when I call and then the call says goodbye and hangs up. I have yet to actually get a chance to talk to someone at the ISP. If this keeps up then I suppose it's not important enough to them then it isn't important enough for me to keep trying just to get hung up on. At least the pics all match on the cards....just lists two very different weights. I know I updated it when I submitted the change of address last month...it just didn't make it to the cards for some unknown reason.
WARFACE Posted June 21, 2017 at 10:38 AM Share Posted June 21, 2017 at 10:38 AM They frittered away all the money we gave them so now they can't afford to pay an actual human to answer the phone. Now that all eyes aren't on them anymore, the ISP has reverted back to being rude and disrespectful.

Molly B. Posted June 21, 2017 at 02:46 PM Share Posted June 21, 2017 at 02:46 PM The weight is not an issue, however, you can notify the ISP at this email address: Ask_CCL@isp.state.il.us

Jeffrey Posted June 21, 2017 at 03:06 PM Share Posted June 21, 2017 at 03:06 PM Of all the things that could be wrong on it, that is one of the last things I would worry about. I don't think any copper is gonna ask you to get on a scale to verify its you. Time for a SN change? SmallFarva?
Black Flag Posted June 21, 2017 at 03:36 PM Share Posted June 21, 2017 at 03:36 PM ++++ Is there actually a way to contact a person at ISP? Molly B can make contact through her channel, in many cases, if the email is ineffective. (Molly, you still have someone's ear over there, right?) largefarva Posted June 21, 2017 at 11:23 PM Author Share Posted June 21, 2017 at 11:23 PM Thanks for that email address. I'll shoot them a quick note to let them know, but I am glad that weight shouldn't be an issue. Smallfarva just doesn't roll off the tongue like Largefarva does...lol I've actually been using this screen name everywhere for quite a while now. Well over 10 years now. Bitter Clinger Posted June 22, 2017 at 04:44 PM Share Posted June 22, 2017 at 04:44 PM Your weight is no big deal. That's not what my wife thinks. Anyway, you got both cards and they're mostly correct. With the way the whole FOID and CCL process works in this state, I'd count my blessings and be happy I got the cards at all. InterestedBystander Posted June 22, 2017 at 06:34 PM Share Posted June 22, 2017 at 06:34 PM Unless its a drastic change I expect they wont care. Last time I did my DL, the clerk asked if my weight differed by more than 10 lbs from what was on existing license and she had moved on to next question before I even answered. If they need to transfer me, I always get through to a live person as well. Good luck
