Dont waste your time with the Firearm Service Bureau

I recieved a letter stating my TCN was not a good number. I was to contact the vender. Vender verified it was a good number. Called ISP and they verified it was all good. I was told to call the nice people at the Firearm Service Bureau. Well, he wasn't helpful or anything but monotone in his answers. Not to mention I called over 30 times to finally get through. Called a second time to check again AND because of the several month process, we just moved. So, I asked if I could edit my address on my application since it wasn't processed yet. I must have got the same guy. Same answers. No and No! He basically said it just sucks to be you and you'll be illegal to carry when it arrives until you pay another $75 for a address change. When does the money drain to these Illinois politics stop?

Thats 5 x $75 for my household just to change a address!

I'm for getting a Electoral college in our state elections like national elections, so Chicago and those 3 or 4 countries quite controlling our rights!

Grrrr......

I'm having issues with change of adress as well, not just the huge cost.

I just moved and it took forever to get the mail to come to my new house due to the post office forwarding everything to the old home owners.

Why is that important? Well you need 2 pieces of "good" mail to get your DL address changed. When processing your CCL they look at the address on record at the Secretary of State office.

I submitted my change of address for 75 bucks on the 11th. However, I was not able to get my address changed on my DL until a few days ago. I received a "denial of application" from the ISP regarding my CCL. On login, it tells me that there is an error on "application". Well I don't have an application, I submit a change of address request. This is confusing...

When I call the FSB they cannot tell me anything and a supervisor has to get back to me. After several hours of waiting (4 hours) I didn't receive a call back. After calling back I was told that it will take days for a supervisor to get back to me! :o

What I find troubling is that it takes days for supervisor from the Firearm Services Bureau to call you back and let you know if the permit in your pocket is Valid or not. The FSB should have the ability to tell you if you permit is valid or invalid etc.
