  1. What are you talking about, used against us? Almost 2.5 million FOID members and several hundred thousand of them CCW Licensees and we muster a few hundred or a thousand+ witness slips. The rest of the gun owners is this state couldn't care less about any of this. Illinois is just testing the water to see how far the courts will let them go. They are not worried about anything we do, so long as the other 99.999% of Illinois gun owners are tuned out or don't care. The last and important point is the voters of this state support the direction its going with gun control, unless we can change this, noting else matters.
  2. So we agree, they do nothing except make us feel like we are involved in a fight we are not winning.
  3. Interesting, the same New York AG who took down Trump, just got the top NRA dogs who have been milking the tax exempt organization for decades. The AG was not allowed to force an end to the NRA. Hopefully we get an organizational genius who also knows guns, what a concept, at the top.
  4. Are we searching for alternatives for guns now. I know gun ownership is a challenge in Illinois but regressing to the dark ages seems a bit extreme. Seeing someone carrying a sidearm does not concern anyone here. Some one walking out in public with Excalibur strapped to his side would cause me to do a double take.
  5. ISRA update: Our article about the ISP not pursuing charges did not make it clear that the ISP only agreed not to pursue charges on those who register their commonly owned firearms, banned under PICA, after January 1st. For that, we apologize. However, while the ISP are keeping the soon to be found unconstitutional list open & encouraging late registration, the law clearly states that registration must occur prior to January 1st. In addition, there are no rules governing how law enforcement requests for PICA data are handled. Any law enforcement agency or state's attorney who want these common firearms removed, might be able to acquire a list of who registered in their jurisdiction after the deadline. Late registrants are technically in violation of the law despite the promises from the ISP, and could possibly face legal action from those agencies.
  6. This below is part of a statement released by the ISRA this week. Can anyone independently verify it? Illinois State Police Won't Pursue Charges for Unregistered Guns. With under 2% of the FOID card holders registering firearms with the Illinois State Police (ISP), the ISP has announced it will not pursue charges for unregistered guns. The portal reportedly will remain open so people can still register them. For most gun owners in Illinois their act of civil disobedience is sending a message and likely won’t actually result in prosecution. Of course, we hope we will win in our suit at the U.S. Supreme Court!
  7. Thank you also, you’re one the reasons this site is referenced in other forums. Valuable information without all the emotion.
  8. https://www.rawstory.com/amp/conservbative-supreme-court-2666615869 I hope they don’t see gun rights in this light.
  9. Years? at my age thats a death sentence for anyones gun rights.
  10. So all one can hope for now is an injunction or TRO while case law developes over the next months or years? 4 gun shops visited past week , 2 say standard Minis banned, they will not inventory new or take in trade. 2 are selling Minis as not AWs. in stock ready to go. Displayed away from controlled section. Roll the dice.
