Mom's meeting Naperville Feb. 20

This is the first meeting of theirs that I've attended. I was definitely the odd man out. I did not show up in camo or even my IGOLD hoodie. Next time I might wear a red shirt to try and keep a little more OPSEC. As I arrived, I ordered some food, then approached the room that was blocked by chairs. Asked if I may listen in and was told that it was a private meeting. I questioned it being a private meeting in a public place. Yeah I know business can be private. As soon as I questioned it being private I was asked if I would sign in and then I can join. I gladly gave them my name and telephone. Cant wait for their call.

The event lasted less than 60 minutes with most of the time used on the taller gentleman and the poncho guy. They were a 5 day old group created to help build gift baskets they wanted to deliver each month over the next year to each of the families who lost someone in the Aurora shooting. My guess is that they were there to suck up some of the Bloomers cash. They are working to energize their base to keep pushing for HR8 to pass. What stood out the most, which was also the opening subject, was how they are redefining who a "survivor" is. If you know someone who was directly or indirectly affected themselves, you are all now a survivor. My cousin went to NIU during the valentines day shooting years back. She was not in class that day fortunately. In fact she was at home about 40 miles away. Regardless she is now a survivor according to the Mom's. Power is in numbers. I lost track of how many times they mentioned the group is nonpartisan. I heard the story about how they respect the 2A and all that BS. They have another push they are calling SMART (besmartforkids.org). They mentioned their biggest goal from that is that a law could be written so that guns and ammo must be locked/stored separate of each at all times. :headbang1: Also was briefly mentioned when sending your children to someone elses home to ask if they have guns in the house that they are locked away. It was suggested to ask the question via text so that you don't have to feel bashful about it. Upon completion I made a point to thank the lady running it for allowing me to sit in on their little meeting and was told to come again. I think they like me although I'm a little hurt they cropped me out of the picture.

Nice work Jeffrey and thanks for the report. Did they know you're a 2A guy or did they think you were just someone wondering what it's about ? seems like they don't want many new members if you had to work your way into the room.

Other than a leather jacket I don't think I screamed 2A. They were hesitant out of the gate but took zero convincing to allow me in. Had I been the team lead I would have made sure to allow anyone interested with no hostility. I couldn't say if they were suspect of me or maybe that is just their personality.

So much knowledge and wisdom represented in that last picture.

Yeah, WE CAN END GUN VIOLENCE. first they need to stop licking their chops hoping for another mass killing so they can exploit the dead to push the real agenda.

I did forget to mention that they had a framed picture of the five names of those lives lost in Aurora. They didn't discuss that event other than that they wanted to have the names remembered. I opted to lay low and not chime in for the meeting at all. I want to be invited back again.

In short, reel students and educators in via this program and get them to fight alongside the Moms

Also want to point out that because Jeffrey went, we are now aware of thier angle going forward

Knowing someone who was shot at MSD just allowed you acceptance and also awarded a title (survivor). It looks like they are using a big social/psychological angle with this. It stood out because it was meant to. Human beings are driven by our makeup to want to belong. Teams, clubs, gangs, etc are all extensions of that. By redefining terms, they are offering instant group membership, a sense of belonging and the sympathies that are attached to the title of "survivor". The title of survivor in this case is like handing someone a jersey or uniform to wear. It helps form a strong group bond and draws others to it.

So technically, since I am connected, I myself am a survivor. Their arguments are disgusting and dishonest

And of this email is forwarded through the district's email to anyone in the district, I am pretty sure that would be a violation of using district resources for a political purpose.

You mentioned FOIA, and you probably know this for sure, but I suspect anyone can FOIA all of those D214.org emails... I believe they're considered public records. at least that's what the tag line leads me to believe in emails I've received from another school district.

Correct. If it’s a public school email address (or any public office for the most part) its subject to FOIA

And this is why anything pertinent to your discussion, that is received through a FOIA request, should be shared publicly. I wish there was a group of people, working independently to uncover the anti gun agenda in our schools and government bodies, who could compile their information through a central hub, share it with a single person, connect the dots, and expose this stuff to the public.......

Let me get this straight, A piece of garbage beats a severely mentally disabled person and robs him so the state drops 4 felonies in exchange for one felony and the garbage gets 2 years probation and pays $500 in fines. then in a different case another sack of garbage pulls an armed robbery and slashes the clerk with a pizza cutter and gets a whopping 4 months in jail ( couldn't make bail ), 2 years probation and a $357 fine. and yet in another case piece of garbage #3 pepper sprays and beats someone for a bicycle and gets 30 months probation, $1300 fine and about 4 months in jail ( couldn't make bail ). Nobody goes to prison for armed robbery or injuring people and probation is handed out along with fines and the dunces at MDA are going after law abiding citizens gun rights instead of demanding tougher laws from the Bloomberg paid shills in Springfield. Gotta love the liberal utopia that is Illinois.
