Sorry if this was covered before. It looks like I'll be moving out of Chicago and to Clarendon Hills in November. I see the "update address" button in the ISP site for FOID and CCW. Is there anything I should know before I go and update my info there in a couple months? I'm assuming I'l get socked for another round of fees too.

Change the address on your driver's license first.

You go through the entire process, so expect the same wait times as if you are renewing or applying like the first time.

Good luck!

You can do it online too on the Sec of State's website.  It will be changed in the data base.  Don't know if the ISP gets their panties in a bunch if you haven't actually gotten a new DL.

If you are within 6 months of needing to renew your FOID or CCL, wait and change the address as part of the renewal process when doing the address history.  If you do the request address change, you will be locked out of the system and not be able to renew.

Ok, thanks everyone. I JUST renewed my CCL and it should be arriving next month... lucky me, I get to pay again. :)

I'll do the DL first.
