Put some time in and watch this video free of the media that tells you what you should think.

Or if you're too lazy here are some highlights:

Fast forward to 7m30s to see how nonchalantly Trump says he's going to pass the bump stock EO as a love letter to Dianne Feinstein.

At 8m30s he says Fix NICS is a good start but let's make a more comprehensive background check bill and change the name.

9m20s Feinstein sitting right next to Trump begins speaking

16m watch as Trump requests to expand this bill

At 21m Trump says he's going against the NRA's recommendation and wants to raise the age for "assault weapons" to 21.

29m "a lot of this is up to the states" he thinks it's all good that states decide assault weapon bans

30m let's add more background checks to fix NICS!

33 min Trump tells Steve Scalise (who barely survived the capital baseball practice shooting) national reciprocity is officially off the table in relation to fix NICS. This is the most reprehensible thing he does considering Scalise is the only survivor of a mass shooting in attendance.

38 minutes the ghost of Tipper Gore posesses Trump to agree with requiring stronger ratings on TV and video games.

40m50s you should like The NRA because they agree with you

42m John (last name?) admits he carries in gun free zones and Trump calls him out for it. Reminds him again we are not getting national reciprocity. Feinstein pumps her arms...

46m in response to Pence (who calls out with respect to due process) Trump says that with gun violence restraining orders we should take the guns first because the courts take too long.

50m Trump nods his head in agreement with Chris Murphy's guns are bad diatribe.

51m40s Chuck Grassley flies off the handle about Hollywood violence, and people question Trump's mental ability?

54m30s John later shills for FFL issued buyers permits to prevent private sales to unauthorized people. Trump admits that he thinks guns are registered.

57m30s Requests Trump strike the Dickey Amendment https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dickey_Amendment_(1996)to devote money to gun violence research, a position Trump's Health and Human Services director supports (was formerly president of a pharmaceutical company).

1h1m again emphasizes that he doesn't need congress to infringe on your 2nd ammendment, bump stocks are done by EO

1h02m he makes Diane Feinstein giddy again

Can you honestly say this guy is going to fight for our gun rights? Or is he going to continue to make Diane Feinstein giddy?

1m34

Dana before becoming a useful tool of the NRA told us to question Donald Trump's support of the 2nd ammendment before making that stupid video where if we questioned Donald Trump we were destroying America.

If you legitimately think I summarized anything out of context convince me and I'll change it.

Hes a good talker, and the BEST troll out there. Hopefully this isn't his democrat side of him coming out. If it is, Pence and company better get in his ear real fast. If this was Hillary she would have signed EO allready. I haven't watched the vid , just going off your outline, its scary to see him talk like this. Its a wait and see.

He hasnt actually done anything yet to loose my support

BUT Yet still supposed 2A people here vote Democrat??

Did you vote for Trump or Ted Cruz in the primary?

Because Cruz responded exactly like how a Republican should after the shooting.

http://m.tmz.com/#2018/02/15/senator-ted-cruz-hollywood-liberal-hypocrites-gun-control-florida-shooting/

I won't vote for any antigun candidate, Democrat or Republican. No guns no votes, simple as that.

I didn't vote for Hillary, but as a hypothetical, are we any worse off if Trump maintains course assuming the house and senate retained the same mix? Again, we'll pretend Hillary appointed a moderate Republican judge, because she would of not been able to get a "activist" judge like RBG confirmed.

Trump has yet to undo any major pro gun EO's like the import ban. And he's about to put back in place all the minor pro gun background check stuff he repealed via a new bill.

Under Hillary nothing would get done, under Trump "something must be done".

This is the most one sided antigun modern legislation since the AWB/Violent Crime Act that being drafted. And you guys are about to see that for some house, senate, and POTUS Republican is just a name, not a legislative record.

Don't believe me? Let's rewind to the legislation that got us the AWB

I have been thinking long and hard on this as I have tried to get a message on his phone msg line at the white house.

EITHER he really is a gun grabber. He is from NY, a very Anti-Gun area. Or he was never that pro 2A and he listens too much to Social Media (known fact), and it persuaded him.

or

He's a mad genius (or thinks he is).

There has been a LOT of media. A VERY vocal minority screaming for change. As we know, there are a lot of States starting anti-gun legislation (That the SCOTUS has said they have been loathe to rule on or take away state's rights in the ability to LIMIT). To take advantage of the Media blitz, or to virtue signal, Dems and even some Republicans, are producing anti-gun bills. He, at that meeting was pushing the Dems to package one big gun control Bill. Immediately, that might stall some of the States from moving forward (Oddly, after Wed mtg and Trump saying all that, the mag bill isn't voted on here). After all, if the Federal Government does it.......

Now, a monster bill like that is NEVER going to be passed by Republicans . Lethal Order of Protection, combined with mandatory Background checks (and the needed registration to make it work), AWB and who knows what else, short of a 2A appeal would be in Feinstein's wet dreams. A Bill like that never passes.Takes times, lets emotions drain nationwide.

Additionally, we know the Dems will be pushing hard at the mid terms. Pennsylvania, is redoing reps right now, after that redistricting ruling. Republican voters can get less than ambitious about voting unless riled. THIS will rile us, get us to the polls to INSURE we don't lose the house or senate, if our President isn't going to protect our 2A rights.

Where I think it is flawed, if the latter, is it potentially also pushes the Republicans in the house and Senate into the 'bad guy roles' of stopping gun change to all the screechers..

I find it hard to believe, he doesn't realize this stance WILL lose him too many of the people that made his victory happen.. I also I hope he realizes there is somewhere over 100 Million Americans that own guns legally, not just the 5 million members of the NRA, and many others still pro 2A that don't own...

Or after reading that NRA mting article he is just way too easily swayed by anyone that talks to him, and/or is unbalanced.

If you are surprised by this, you have not been awake at the switch for the last 40 years.

He is who he is. Has been that way since the early '80's.

Most of us didn't pay attention to his day to day life, prior to his Presidency, so please elaborate and enlighten.
It's pretty obvious who Trump's friends are if he has a New York City issued conceal carry permit, has 4 chapter 11 bankruptcies but was continually staked in business deals, and was continuously allowed to build in several Democratic party political machine run cities.

He was a New York Democrat who's close inner circle included all the villains we rally against. Bloomberg (who also frequently switches from D to R to I to whatever suits him), Soros, the Clintons, mainstream media personalities, etc.

The birther movement was originally spawned to help Clinton in her contested primary with Obama, but ended up putting him in the political spotlight as this conservative "character". Her party wanted to show Obama was not loyal to America/American values, but didn't want to offend a portion of her base that believes America/American values are bad. So her team sent Trump in to do the dirty work.

America has a major problem with short term memory and politics. They totally missed it where Trump and Hillary have been lockstep in political ideology since the beginning, but Hillary played a liberal and Trump played a conservative and both parties ate that stuff up. My tinfoil hat thinks Clinton probably egged on Trump to run to wreck the Republican party, but when his campaign took off his ego got the best of him.

Now that every semblance of a conservative has been or is in the process of being run out of the white house guess who the group of friends will be that have always had his back. The New York Democrat elite who know his act and will be quick to forgive and back him as the "bipartisan master of the deal".

How could you ignore Trump growing up in America? His stories were splashed over the pages of every supermarket checkout tabloid from the time I was a baby.

I'd rather have Trump than Shrillary.

I'll be honest, I can't imagine Hillary claiming that we should take guns first and follow due process later.

If you're ok with his statements, you don't believe in gun rights.

But that's what Democrats do, they already did it in California.

IMHO Trump is just playing politics, trying to look like he's willing to engage all sides while knowing no anti-gun bills will pass.

If Hillary had won we'd have another anti Supreme Court justice, and Ginsburg would have retired so Hillary could appoint a young version of her. We'd have her pushing for California and New York-style gun laws nationwide. She'd be pushing for repeal of the Lawful Commerce in Arms Act, so California, New York, Illinois, New Jersey and Chicago could sue gun makers out of business.

And for those of you entertaining 3rd party candidates that only benefits the Democrats. Don't cut your nose off to spite your face, you'll be taking your flying car to work at the Sasquatch Wildlife Refuge before a 3rd party candidate wins the Presidency.
