45superman Posted October 9, 2007 at 03:19 PM Posted October 9, 2007 at 03:19 PM Oh sure--now you tell me--right after I posted an update.
SmershAgent Posted October 9, 2007 at 04:25 PM Posted October 9, 2007 at 04:25 PM Montgomery is Green! Congratulations -well done! I was puzzled at first, but then I remember you once mentioned that Montgomery's board meets in the morning for some strange reason. It also looks like there will be three more full board votes today in Coles, JoDaviess, and Washington.
SmershAgent Posted October 9, 2007 at 04:28 PM Posted October 9, 2007 at 04:28 PM Does anyone know if Marion's committee voted to send the resolution up the chain last night?See Post #812 Thanks.Marion county is red on the map, http://www.pro2aresolution.com/id12.html ,claims it failed in committee? According to post #812, they were just postponing consideration. In my personal opinion, I think the Pro2A website is a bit too liberal with the red ink. The resolution hasn't failed in any of those counties; the boards/committees are either dragging their feet or ignoring the issue. If anything, changing them back to white in those cases is probably most appropriate. We are all working toward the same goal and I think how we color our maps is a non-issue. We may differ in our assessment of counties that do not put the resolution on their agenda for approval but the main thing is the number of counties that pass the resolution. Stop in at the blog section on their website and you will get a clearer picture of why and how they decide to designate the counties. http://www.pro2aresolution.com Those posts to which you directed me were very informative; thank you. I also agree, the nuances of the red color-coding are irrelevant - especially since those counties will be green before long.
EnjoyLife Posted October 9, 2007 at 05:03 PM Posted October 9, 2007 at 05:03 PM It also looks like there will be three more full board votes today in Coles, JoDaviess, and Washington. You mean we could be up to 50 counties after today? And Edgar tomorrow would make 51, or 50% of the counties of Illinois!

lockman Posted October 9, 2007 at 09:21 PM Posted October 9, 2007 at 09:21 PM Sorry! I have no idea why I can't upload it at the proper size! I'll keep messin'! I just hit one of those age plateaus where your eyesight starts to degrade. Coach you had me thinking I just degraded a few more notches! How about twice normal size!
45superman Posted October 9, 2007 at 09:29 PM Posted October 9, 2007 at 09:29 PM Updated map: add Montgomery This is just a very wild guess, and probably doesn't have anything to do with reality, but is it possible that the forum software imposes a limit (for each member) on the total amount of memory (among all posts) that can be used by attached files? In other words, I know you've posted a lot of these maps--could it be that you're bumping up against the limit, and so it automatically reduced the size, to keep you within the limits? Again, that's almost certainly not it--I was just wonderin'.
Ol'Coach Posted October 10, 2007 at 01:25 AM Posted October 10, 2007 at 01:25 AM It has to do with the photo softare. It has reduced it to tha size on the page, and no matter how much I magnify it, or change the pixel count, the map size on the page doesn't get any larger. I'll find out what's goin' on. Please bear with me!

Ashdump Posted October 10, 2007 at 05:56 PM Author Posted October 10, 2007 at 05:56 PM ATTENTION Ford county residents, I recieved this in an e-mail today.......... Hi MattThe board has not mentioned anything about the Second Amendment Resolution. I have given a copy of your information to the board chairman. Thank you. Linda KellerhalsFord County Clerk I suggest if you live in Ford county that you get ahold of your county board members and bolster some support for this. They are aware of it now!
SmershAgent Posted October 10, 2007 at 06:41 PM Posted October 10, 2007 at 06:41 PM Coach, do you happen to have old versions of that map from each stage? I thought once this project was completed, it might be neat to make one of those animations - like with the right-to-carry map of the United States.
Federal Farmer Posted October 10, 2007 at 08:21 PM Posted October 10, 2007 at 08:21 PM We need a 51 Counties celebration!

Ol'Coach Posted October 10, 2007 at 08:28 PM Posted October 10, 2007 at 08:28 PM Smersh... Unfortunately, I saved only the first and most recent, unless the others may be on "My BooK" backup HD. I'll check. On another topic, I'm attaching a spreadsheet file I did shortly after the '06 gubanotorial election. I think it has some value as to WHY we have the 2A county-by-county grassroots movement going. Check the percentages! Where does that leave us country folk? Gov2006_5_vs_rest.xls
Federal Farmer Posted October 10, 2007 at 08:32 PM Posted October 10, 2007 at 08:32 PM We need a 51 Counties celebration! You mean Edgar passed it? dunno...I meant when we hit 51 (half the state) we party!
