GarandFan Posted June 12, 2012 at 11:10 PM Posted June 12, 2012 at 11:10 PM Apparently some 18 year old was arrested for carrying an M1 Garand in Birmingham, MI. In protest, a bunch of folks carried rifles and pistols into a city commission meeting. Wow. Check out the video! Mostly ARs it seemed to me. Newscasters were "well, apparently it's legal, so ..." http://www.clickonde...vz/-/index.html

Yas Posted June 13, 2012 at 01:36 AM Posted June 13, 2012 at 01:36 AM OMG Wild west in the streets! But the 2nd thing I noticed was nice trigger discipline.
billzfx4 Posted June 13, 2012 at 01:49 AM Posted June 13, 2012 at 01:49 AM That picture is obviously photoshopped.....There is no river of blood running down the street behind them!
TyGuy Posted June 13, 2012 at 02:01 AM Posted June 13, 2012 at 02:01 AM The video and article mention them carrying AK-47s. I didn't see a single AK.

SFC Stu Posted June 13, 2012 at 02:08 AM Posted June 13, 2012 at 02:08 AM OMG Wild west in the streets! But the 2nd thing I noticed was nice trigger discipline. That was also the second thing I noticed!

The police were even dumber for arresting him!
TyGuy Posted June 13, 2012 at 03:51 AM Posted June 13, 2012 at 03:51 AM Just once I want to see a report about people wearing blue shirts. "It should be pointed out that wearing a blue shirt is not illegal, but nonetheless it's not something you see every day."
Gooch Posted June 13, 2012 at 10:57 AM Posted June 13, 2012 at 10:57 AM Great story GF........ Makes me fantasize about that happening at a Chicago city council meeting! (Or any council meeting in this state for that matter) Could you imagine how many people would wet their panties? Gooch
Drylok Posted June 13, 2012 at 12:39 PM Posted June 13, 2012 at 12:39 PM The comment section is always my favorite part of these kinds of stories
Patriots & Tyrants Posted June 13, 2012 at 12:54 PM Posted June 13, 2012 at 12:54 PM Yeah, I saw one or two "its unsafe for the children" type comments..those are always funny. Simpsons got it right big time "Won't somebody please think of the children!". I think while some may argue this is counter productive to gun rights as a whole (think what happened to the black panthers in California back in the 60's when they tried this kind of stuff) , I can think of no better protest in support of someone who was illegally arrested on trumped up charges for OCing a rifle.
Molly B. Posted June 14, 2012 at 02:26 AM Posted June 14, 2012 at 02:26 AM Alrighty then. I know the comments are all in fun but let's try to keep it respectful and in good taste. A couple of posts didn't quite make it.
Davey Posted June 14, 2012 at 05:32 AM Posted June 14, 2012 at 05:32 AM How does the blonde lady get away with holding the AR in her hands rather than slung on your shoulder or back?
Uncle Harley Posted June 14, 2012 at 12:28 PM Posted June 14, 2012 at 12:28 PM How does the blonde lady get away with holding the AR in her hands rather than slung on your shoulder or back? It's on a single point sling, I assume she is just holding it so it doesn't flop around while walking briskly across the street.
Xwing Posted June 26, 2012 at 06:44 PM Posted June 26, 2012 at 06:44 PM OMG Wild west in the streets! But the 2nd thing I noticed was nice trigger discipline. That was the first thing I noticed.
Buckfarrack Posted July 17, 2012 at 01:46 AM Posted July 17, 2012 at 01:46 AM Yip,after taking a closer look,i believe Harley is right! If it was on her shoulder it would flop all over the place like being on a bungee cord.
