Waiting for a call from Rose, I was shocked he voted NO but Andrea just told me she has had about 1,000 calls 99% asking for a NO vote. I know he represents his constiuants but damn we got a fiscal disaster here and all we're asking is for state employees to pay a little of thier share just like those of us in the private sector do.

Dang your quick Mauserme

Only in a good way ...

Here are the House votes on SB681.

It's hard to imagine why so many voted against this. It doesn't change the amount of ammunition being purchased - it just helps bring the business back into Illinois.

Hmm... So Rosemary Mulligan and Sid Mathias both vote NO and Jim Durkin is absent???

I hope this isn't a sign of what's to come...

There were the typical no votes as expected just due to the nature of the bill. I believe any bill that pertains to firearms or ammunition will get the typical no vote response.

It's kind of a shame if they can't rise above typical to bring some revenue into the state.

I'm happy to see both my current and soon to be reps voted yes. Thank you calls will are on the agenda.

My rep is Pam Roth and she is solid. Thank God.

But I did notice that out of the Joliet area where Jack McGuire was the rep. His replacement Larry Walsh Jr. was a NO vote on this particular bill. If that's any indication of his upcoming voting record, I'm really not impressed or happy with it.

This may be one of those cases where they are "allowed" to vote a different way if their vote is not needed and they need to shore up cred with a particular constituency.

I'll take 89 - 28 on HB 148, won't you??

T

Surely that's not a prediction but, yes, I would be very happy with that on 148.

Nope, not a prediction. My crytal ball got damaged last June at the diaper shoot. I think Drylok's little brother, Brass Pile, decided it would make a good target!!

I'll not make predictions on the vote. Not to get too cocky and not to jinx the vote!!

If I sounded a little cynical in my earlier observations I appologize. Getting the calendars posted during the May, very full, schedule somtimes brings out a little crabiness in me. Fear not, it will pass.

Thank you very much! ,................. and as far as what DRD stated, I took it as face value. I think he is PO'd about the stupid bills IL proposes just like the rest of us are , ( you know like many of the ones we are trying to kill) but thankful for this post every week so we are aware of them and all the others that we are in support of.

Yep... It POs me to see some of the crap... as to the 7000 pieces of Cr*p, I don't think my nerves would handle it... This thread gives me just enuff....

Regards, Drd
