I'll be there and I'll talk this up at the monthly Aurora Sportsmen's Club meeting tomorrow night and again at the Feb meeting.

Damn Boog, you don't let any grass grow under you feet!

Now we need to make sure we have a good turnout.

I just checked and the ILGA is in session that day. I wanted to invite a few local DuPage Pols but I don't see them attending. I noticed the next day is an important deadline in the Seante.

I'll make sure I invite them anyway. Maybe they'll send a representative.

I will be printing flyers and going to Kane County gun show on Sat and Sun. handing them out. I will also take them to Gander Mountain in Geneva. I am also going shooting this weekend at Megasports in Plainfield and will take some there. I am going to call the Dupage Sherriff's office tomorrow and see if he is on OUR SIDE and would like to speak, also calling my State Rep, Paul Froehlich and State Senator, John Milner tomorrow to see where they stand on this and see if they would like to speak if they on our side.

I just had another thought about this. This meeting is after the primary so we will know who is in the running for offices. I would like to have Pro CCW candidates at the meeting. That way maybe we will get some press and TV coverage

I'm in too. My only concern is that we work closely with Illinois Carry and the ISRA and not duplicate our efforts.

I would push for this to be a grassroots group of the ISRA much like Will County Grassroots and Knox County Grassroots

There WAS exactly such an organization back in the late 90's, DuPage County Grassroots (of the ISRA)

I was the treasurer...Mike Cross was the President.

We had a newsletter, quarterly, and covered 1st class postage with ads and donations IIRC...

Every ISRA member in DuPage county was mailed one.

I just called GAT about putting the flyer up. The manager seemed very open to the idea, but requested that I fax a copy for him to review. I just sent the fax. I look forward to his phone call or email telling me that it's fine to post there. If so I will post them tomorrow when I head to the range there.

I guess that my fax didn't go through as I just called to follow up with GAT. I'm pretty sure they'll be fine with it so I am just going to bring some with me tomorrow when I head to the range and they can give me the go ahead then.

How about the hall in Elmhurst the ISRA used for their meeting?

I think it was called the Diplomat West on Rt83.

I just called the Diplomat West. The owner is ALL for us and the meeting. I scheduled the hall for Thursday March 4th 7-9

I will be there. I will be at IGOLD. It is time my government served MY needs, and pass a License to Carry law in Illinois. Selfish? Maybe, but I have been paying taxes on my home, business, income, heck everything for a long time. I have never collected unemployment insurance, or any type of assistance. I pay the bill for my daughter to go to college. It is time I get something. All I want is a right guaranteed to me in the Constitution of the United States. One would think that my state government could do something this simple for me.

Guys and Gals --

if i might offer up a couple of bits of advise.

If you want me or possibly others there, you need to consider the legislative session dates. this one works, but lets say there is a pro-2A gov candidate that would like to attend? do we want to have the possibility of pro-RTC legislators or others attend? If so, non-session nights work best.

As long as I am not out of town on business, I am in.

I noticed a couple of grammatical errors with the flyer:

At the end of the 1st paragraph there is a comma, instead of a period. And in the second paragraph, the word "to" was left out of the statement "it is a felony do so".

I took the liberty of fixing this in the word document, and have attached it to this post. Otherwise looks great, I will pass out a few flyers myself.
