Kenny Posted July 10, 2008 at 12:36 PM Posted July 10, 2008 at 12:36 PM Same place same time. They are going to get moving on this now. They have had several calls from other counties wondering when it will pass so they can vote on theirs. Nice job everyone that called your local county board members. Now they are going to meet every week to get this put together. Then it goes to the Executive committee to get passed at a Monday meeting then on to the full county board at a Thursday meeting. When they will be I do not know but for now if you can make it to the Tuesday July 15th meeting please post it here. I did not call all the media last time because I didn't think we would have the turnout we did. (about 20-30 people) If we can have that turnout again I will definatly call all the media. I suggested to Tom Owens The chairman of the sub-committee to allow 5 people to speak at the end of every meeting in lieu of another public forum, SO that means at the next sub-committee meeting there could be a chance to speak therefore the press will be there for sure. So far we have not had any anti's at a single meeting with the exception of the public forum (all 2 of them) So if you can make it please post it up here so I can get an idea how many people will be there. Thanks & I will se alot of you at SAFR!!!!!
richp Posted July 10, 2008 at 12:50 PM Posted July 10, 2008 at 12:50 PM Hi, Can't make it next week -- I'll be out of town. Rich Phillips
SAK Posted July 10, 2008 at 01:37 PM Posted July 10, 2008 at 01:37 PM I'm gonna send a few letters to the uncertain board members. That list is around here I think. One of the board members had mentioned that letters are better than phone calls, because people don't like being bugged at home too much (I don't blame them). So it might pay off to write a short letter respectfully asking that the board member vote to put our county in compliance with the supreme court ruling
Chris Posted July 10, 2008 at 03:10 PM Posted July 10, 2008 at 03:10 PM I will not be there as I will be in Indiana.

Kenny Posted July 15, 2008 at 11:14 AM Author Posted July 15, 2008 at 11:14 AM I will be calling all the news channels today to make sure they get out there.
Kaeghl Posted July 15, 2008 at 01:27 PM Posted July 15, 2008 at 01:27 PM And again, I must be at work at that time..... It's too bad you have these things on weekday evenings instead of a nice, bright, Saturday afternoon. Then I could be another ghost along the wall. Just 'grab' a photo of me from the informal shoot, Print it out life size, and lean it against the wall. Wait a sec, the only ones of me there are with my Mosin....might not be a good idea. Never mind. Twisted can't make it, that's the time for her chiro appointment.
